Pet therapy can positively impact the physical, social and emotional well-being of a child. Therapy dogs also help bring a sense of normalcy to patients’ lives. Often stuck away from their friends and their own family pets, having a loving, gentle dog brought to visit them gives them a taste of home.

The dogs can also help speed patients’ recoveries by encouraging them to take rehab steps they otherwise would not.
