This week, our CEO visited one of the major industrial facilities in the Dead Sea region, where Solcon-IGEL soft starter systems are installed across a wide range of critical applications. How do you reliably start an 800 kW centrifugal chiller motor at one of the world's most ambitious scientific infrastructure projects? The ITER Fusion Research Facility in France is one of the world's most ambitious scientific infrastructure projects and a landmark international effort to demonstrate the feasibility of nuclear fusion as a large-scale, carbon-free energy source. Supporting a project of this scale requires highly reliable electrical infrastructure, including the cooling systems that maintain stable operating temperatures across the facility. To support this critical application, Solcon-IGEL supplied eight HRVS-DN Medium Voltage Soft Starters for 800 kW centrifugal chiller motors. Since commissioning, the systems have continued to deliver dependable performance, helping support the reliable operation of one of the world's most advanced research facilities.
