🇱🇾 The Africa CDC Social & Behaviour Change (SBC) and Advocacy Division, in collaboration with the Immunization Directorate, has just wrapped up a transformative field mission in Tripoli, Libya! In collaboration with experts from Libya’s Ministry of Health, the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), and key partners like UNICEF and IOM - UN Migration, we took bold steps to embed SBC into the heart of Libya’s public health system by making it a sustainable, funded priority. Africa CDC Director General, Dr. Jean Kaseya, called for an urgent review of Ebola-related entry restrictions on Uganda, highlighting the country’s significant progress in controlling the outbreak. With no new confirmed Ebola cases reported since 21 June 2026, the discharge of the last confirmed patient and continued surveillance efforts, Uganda is setting a new standard for outbreak response.
