Supporting marine science at the edge of the world with Eutelsat’s OneWeb LEO ❄️ We are proud to support the Tara Polar Station and its crew as the ship embarks on a scientific expedition into the central Arctic Ocean. The vessel and its crew will be operating in one of the most remote and challenging environments on Earth, helping scientists better understand a region that plays a critical role in our planet's climate system. Reliable connectivity will be essential throughout the mission. Connected to our OneWeb LEO network via an Intellian Technologies user terminal, the expedition will be able to support the transmission of scientific data, operational communications and crew welfare services while operating far beyond the reach of traditional infrastructure. As activity in the Arctic continues to grow both at sea and on land, resilient satellite connectivity is becoming an increasingly important enabler for research, exploration, and operations across the High North. We wish the entire Tara Polar Station team bon voyage as they begin this remarkable journey – and thanks to our connectivity, we look forward to bringing you updates from the team over the coming weeks and months. 📸 Credit: Maéva Bardy and Tara Ocean Fondation

Reliable and assured connectivity is now a requirement and an expectation for business aviation. This latest case study from our partners at Gogo and Action Aviation provides a good illustration of how expectations have evolved in business aviation. Passengers increasingly expect the same connectivity in the air that they have on the ground, whether they are collaborating with colleagues, accessing critical information, or trading. Connectivity and predictability are becoming part of the core value proposition for operators, and reliability, security and consistency are every bit as important as speed. By working with expert partners such as Gogo, Eutelsat's OneWeb LEO network is helping to support operators and passengers alike, bringing SLA backed, high-speed, low-latency connectivity to aircraft around the world.
Imagine watching a multi-million dollar trade slip through your fingers at 40,000 feet... simply because your cabin Wi-Fi dropped. 📉 This isn't a hypothetical nightmare. It actually happened. Action Aviation recently shared a true story about a High-Net-Worth Individual who lost millions on a crucial crypto trade because their cabin Wi-Fi dropped mid-flight. 📉 It’s a brutal reminder that in business aviation, a connectivity failure isn't just an inconvenience—it’s an expensive liability. Lately, the market has focused on raw speeds, with consumer-centric tech trying to adapt to the sky. But business aviation demands more than a repurposed, "best-effort" internet link. When a connection drops on a consumer network, you’re left dealing with an anonymous support ticket or an automated chat. With Gogo, you aren't just buying data bandwidth. You are investing in an entire aviation-grade ecosystem: True Redundancy: Layered network infrastructure designed to keep you online even if a system malfunctions. Dedicated Support: 24/7 access to live aviation experts who understand the unique demands of your aircraft and your mission. Tailored Solutions: Purpose-built hardware meant for business jets, not off-the-shelf consumer gear. Don’t risk your portfolio on a network built for the masses. Fly with a partner who stands in the cockpit with you. Choose reliability. Choose Gogo.

The Eutelsat team is heading to Farnborough International Airshow 2026 ✈️ At Stand 4503 (Hall 4, Space Zone), our in-flight connectivity experts will be demonstrating how our multi-orbit GEO and OneWeb LEO capabilities are supporting aviation, government and defence users with the secure, resilient and predictable connectivity that critical operations demand. Alongside our trusted partners including Gogo / SD Government, Intellian Technologies and INSTER - Grupo Oesía, we'll be showcasing a range of airborne and ground-based solutions and user terminals designed to support everything from aircraft and mobility platforms to remote and mission-critical operations. Visitors will also be able to see our AstraPNT anti-jamming service and learn how our Secure, Assured, Resilient and Agile (SARA) approach is helping organisations maintain operational readiness in increasingly complex environments. If you're attending Farnborough, we'd be delighted to welcome you to the stand. Eutelsat connectivity on display on the Champs-Élysées 🛰️ Yesterday's Bastille Day celebrations showcased the people, technologies and capabilities that contribute to France's security and sovereignty. Vehicles in the parade were connected via OneWeb LEO user terminals from our partners at Intellian Technologies and Kymeta Corporation, demonstrating the leading role of connectivity in supporting modern defence and security operations. As missions become increasingly remote and data-driven, resilient satellite connectivity is playing a growing role in ensuring information can be shared securely and reliably wherever it is needed. This importance is reflected in the growing adoption of guaranteed space-based communications capabilities, including through the recently announced CENTAURE contract with the French Ministry for Armed Forces. Thank you to our partners and to all those who contribute every day to the resilience and security of France and Europe.

On the road with our OneWeb demo truck: bringing LEO connectivity closer to end users across Europe 🚗 Our Mobile Demo Facility (MDF) recently completed a tour across Central and Eastern Europe, showcasing Eutelsat's OneWeb LEO services and terminals directly to various government and defence stakeholders. The road trip began at Defence24 Days in Warsaw, where the team delivered live demonstrations of OneWeb connectivity in real-world conditions, including high‑density urban environments and on-the-move scenarios. Continuing through a number of European countries, these demonstrations - alongside partners including NBS Maritime and GiTy Group - helped bring capacity, resilience and recovery capabilities to life for potential end users. The MDF highlighted how our services can be tailored for specific mission requirements no matter the location - as well as showcasing our AstraPNT anti-jamming solution. Across the continent, there was strong interest in how LEO connectivity can support mission-critical communications, from command-and-control to mobility and resilience in contested environments. Thanks to all the teams involved in delivering this tour - and to the many partners and stakeholders we had the opportunity to engage along the way.

“Europe’s space future will be built collectively.” That was my message this week at the Assises du NewSpace in Paris. Europe already has the talent, innovation and industrial capabilities needed to compete globally. The challenge now is to bring them together and accelerate. As the operator of Europe’s only operational LEO constellation with our OneWeb network, Eutelsat is proud to work alongside startups, scale-ups, researchers, investors and institutions to help transform innovation into operational capabilities. This collaborative approach will be essential not only for initiatives such as IRIS², but also for the next generation of technologies, including Direct-to-Device connectivity. Innovation, investment and partnership will define the next chapter of Europe’s space industry. Thank you to the organisers and participants for the discussions today.

To mark the end of the financial year, we spoke with Philippe Baudrier, Eutelsat’s VP for Africa, about the progress made across the continent over the past 12 months 🌍 It’s been a year of strong momentum across both GEO and LEO in Africa, with continued expansion of our footprint through local partnerships spanning telecom operators, enterprises and government stakeholders. From extending our Konnect services with Orange across West and Central Africa, to bringing OneWeb connectivity to mobility use cases – including a successful rail trial in Gabon with airtel – the focus has been clear: delivering reliable, resilient connectivity where it is needed most. At the same time, we have continued to scale initiatives aimed at connecting underserved communities, while strengthening our presence in markets such as Angola, South Africa or DRC through new OneWeb LEO agreements. Several programmes are also underway to bring connectivity to millions more people across the continent in the coming years – including our recently expanded ITU pledge. Across this diverse continent, from dense urban environments to some of the most remote locations on Earth, demand continues to grow for solutions that combine coverage, performance and reliability to support both economic development and critical infrastructure. Commenting, Philippe said: “We have seen strong momentum across Africa this year, with partners and institutions increasingly turning to Eutelsat for reliable, affordable, trusted and predictable connectivity solutions. With massive Infrastructure investment in Africa, the foundations are now in place across both GEO and LEO, and we are well positioned to accelerate further and expand access across the continent - helping to bridge the digital divide and support businesses, communities and government digital development.”
