Two Centuries of Trusted Knowledge, Shaping the Future of Legal AI On 24 & 25 June, Lefebvre Group was proud to sponsor Legal Innovators Europe - France, bringing together the leaders, innovators, and practitioners shaping the future of law.   Just days after VivaTech, where we showcased our vision for trusted legal AI, we keep designing the new normal of law, by engaging wherever the most important conversations for the legal industry are taking place.   For two centuries and across eight European countries, Lefebvre Group has been a trusted partner to legal and tax professionals. As AI reshapes the legal landscape, our mission remains the same: to deliver reliable knowledge and help professionals make sound and reliable decisions.   Over the two-day conference, Lefebvre experts took the stage to address some of the most pressing questions facing the profession. - Private Practice Day Manu Mateo, Chief Product Officer of GenIA-L, joined the panel discussion "Show Me the ROI on Legal AI!", exploring how AI can deliver measurable value to legal professionals while meeting the industry's demanding standards for reliability, transparency, and trust. - In-House Day Julien Tanguy, CEO of Lefebvre, delivered a keynote entitled "Is Likeliness the New Truth in the Legal AI Ecosystem?" As AI becomes increasingly embedded in legal reasoning processes, a fundamental challenge emerges: can legal professionals rely on answers that are merely probable?   In law, there is no such thing as "almost correct." Legal decisions require information that is accurate, traceable, and verifiable. While technological performance matters, the real question is how we preserve trust in legal knowledge in an AI-driven world. The answer lies in the quality, governance, and provenance of the knowledge powered by AI. Safeguarding legal truth requires trusted sources, rigorous validation processes, and a strong commitment to intellectual sovereignty.   Together, these contributions reflect the breadth of expertise across Lefebvre Group and our commitment to helping legal professionals embrace AI with confidence.   Beyond the stage, our teams spent two inspiring days exchanging ideas with law firms, corporate legal departments, technology providers, and industry leaders from across Europe, and even worldwide.   Guillaume Deroubaix Philippe BLECON Huub van der Meulen Annabelle Raguenet de Saint Albin Joe Fakhri Stefano Garisto José Ángel Sandín Samuel van Oostrom, Dr. h.c. VivaTech 2026 – Day 1: Lefebvre Group Takes the Stage at Europe’s Largest Innovation Event And what a debut it was. For the very first time, Lefebvre Group had its own booth at VivaTech. More than a symbolic milestone, this marks a clear statement of our ambition and positioning as a leading European LegalTech and trusted AI player. GenIA-L at the Centre of Attention Throughout the day, our teams delivered a continuous stream of demonstrations of GenIA-L, the first generative AI solution built exclusively on the trusted legal and tax content produced by our historic publishing houses. Our booth remained busy from morning to evening as legal and accounting professionals came to discover what trusted AI truly means in practice: reliable, traceable and expert-driven intelligence designed for regulated professions. Keynote & Panel Discussion: AI in Service of Human Intelligence One of the highlights of the day was the keynote delivered by Julien Tanguy, CEO of Lefebvre Group, at the Executive Arena alongside philosopher Gabrielle Halpern. Their discussion was guided by a core conviction: artificial intelligence creates value only when it enhances human intelligence. In the fields of law, finance and professional advisory services, trust, expertise and professional judgment remain irreplaceable. They must be preserved, strengthened and continuously nurtured across teams and organizations. Julien Tanguy also participated in the panel discussion “Investing in the AI Ecosystem: A Tool for Technological Sovereignty?”, alongside David Chekroun (ESCP / FDI Control), Cassandre Gosselin (Bpifrance) and Florence Boulenger (Maddyness). The discussion provided valuable insights into the conditions required for the emergence of a high-performing, responsible and sovereign European AI ecosystem. Shaping the Future of the Knowledge Economy The future of the knowledge economy is being written today. Lefebvre Group is proud to contribute to this transformation alongside the organizations and innovators shaping the future of LegalTech and trusted AI. A sincere thank you to everyone who visited us on this first day. This is only the beginning. 📍 Visit us until June 20 at the France Pavilion – Hall 7 – Stand 2J16. Today at the BSI AI Summit in Paris, dedicated to the impact of AI on information security, Lefebvre Group took part in a roundtable discussion on the challenges of AI and digital trust, featuring Candice Tran Dai, our Group Chief Information Security Officer.   In a sector as sensitive as the legal field, responsible AI begins with people: empowering teams working with GenIA-L with the right reflexes to handle highly confidential information, ensure decision traceability, and effectively manage the specific risks associated with AI-enabled legal workflows. It also requires robust ethical governance and an integrated approach spanning the entire AI lifecycle - from design and development to deployment and ongoing maintenance.   This ambition is underpinned by rigorous security governance aligned with BSI standards and international best practices, as we actively pursue ISO/IEC 42001 certification. 📸 Marking an important step forward on this journey : Candice Tran Dai, our CISO, has successfully completed BSI’s pre-certification training — a key milestone on our path toward certification Julien Tanguy Sumi Saint Auguste Camille Sztejnhorn Joe Fakhri

Training your legal teams in AI : a strategic imperative to maintain professional rigor Artificial intelligence is no longer a promise in the legal world, it's a reality. But beware: having a powerful tool like GenIA-L is not enough if your teams are not trained to use it. According to a recent study, while 30% of legal departments are increasing their AI budgets, only 1 in 5 achieves true "AI maturity." This gap is risky. Which skills should be developed as a priority? • Technical mastery: understanding the functioning, limitations, and biases of AI systems • Legal critical thinking: verifying sources, regulatory consistency, and detecting AI "hallucinations" • Process integration: adapting workflows and clarifying roles • Ethics and responsibility: maintaining human oversight and traceability An effective training strategy must assess existing skills, offer tailored content, transform corporate culture, and measure progress. With GenIA-L, we offer not only a cutting-edge legal AI tool but also the opportunity to rethink your team training for operational excellence. Because remember: your greatest asset is not the tool, but the team using it. Want to transform your legal practice? Read the full article by Manu Mateo .

Ethical AI : What It Really Means for Legal and Advisory Professionals Artificial intelligence is becoming an integral part of legal, tax, and advisory work. While it delivers clear gains in efficiency, it also raises essential questions of fairness, transparency, confidentiality, and professional accountability. For lawyers, jurists, notaries, and accountants, ethical AI goes beyond compliance. It requires the ability to understand, explain, supervise, and take responsibility for AI‑supported analyses and decisions. In this article, we examine what ethical AI means in practice for professional services : managing bias, ensuring explainability and traceability, safeguarding sensitive data, and aligning AI use with evolving regulatory standards. Ethical AI is not an obstacle to innovation, it is a prerequisite for trust, quality, and the long‑term credibility of the profession. Read the full article by Manu Mateo Mateo to explore how ethical AI can be integrated responsibly into legal and advisory practice.

Chapter 2 : Regulation - New excerpt from the documentary “AI and the Future of Law – A European Approach ” written by Sumi Saint Auguste. Law and innovation are often seen as opposites, as if regulation meant slowing progress. But we forget that Europe was built on law - and that law is, above all, a form of protection: for individuals, for businesses, for society as a whole. Law was not created for the mere pleasure of producing rules. It exists to uphold strong values, ensure fairness, and guide transformation. This second chapter of the documentary explores regulation - a central issue for understanding how artificial intelligence can integrate into legal practice without losing sight of its essential purpose. Next chapter: Sovereignty. Follow Lefebvre Group to make sure you don’t miss any episode. Sabine Matheson Michael BENESTY Damien LEFEBVRE Julien Tanguy
