Inaugurated 12-week Cyber Security Training Programme for CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) personnels on July 13, 2026. The programme, guided by Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal, aims to strengthen CISF’s cyber capabilities through advanced training in digital forensics, cybercrime investigation, network & cloud security, AI, and emerging technologies. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Shri Senthil Avoodai Krishna Raj S, IPS, Inspector General, Airport Sector, CISF, as Chief Guest, with distinguished faculty and experts adding value to the session. Coordinated by Dr. Vikas Rai and Mr. Aditya Partap Singh, the training combines expert lectures, labs, cyber range exercises, and case studies to enhance operational readiness and protect critical infrastructure. The 5-Day Induction Workshop on Forensic Case Examination and Reporting was inaugurated at National Forensic Sciences University, Delhi Campus, marking the beginning of an intensive hands-on training program for faculties. The workshop is scheduled from July 6-10, 2026. The workshop is designed to provide participants with practical exposure through simulated forensic casework across multiple disciplines, including Forensic Physics, Forensic Chemistry, Forensic Biology, Cyber Forensics, and Forensic Psychology. The workshop focuses on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for case opening, evidence handling, scientific examination, and forensic report writing, equipping participants with the knowledge and practical skills required for professional forensic case management. The workshop is convened by Dr. R. K. Sarin, Professor of Practice, School of Forensic Science, NFSU, Delhi Campus. We successfully conducted a three-day Specialized Training Programme on Mobile Forensics and Digital Evidence Investigation from June 22–24, 2026. Designed to strengthen investigative and forensic capabilities, the programme focused on handling mobile devices and digital evidence in cybercrime cases. Inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal, Campus Director, the programme emphasized the growing importance of mobile forensics in modern investigations. Prof. (Dr.) Minakshi Sinha, Deputy Director (Training), also addressed the participants. Coordinated by Mr. Aditya Partap Singh and Ms. Kanupriya Shrivastava, the training covered topics such as mobile phone forensics, crypto-enabled frauds, forensic acquisition, crime scene procedures, CDR/IPDR analysis, SIM card forensics, and admissibility of digital evidence. We proudly presented our emerging research in the field of fingerprints at the 26th All India Fingerprint Conference–2026, inaugurated by the Hon’ble Union Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah in New Delhi during June 19-20, 2026. The conference marked a significant milestone in India’s journey towards technology-enabled criminal justice delivery with the launch of four transformative applications by the National Crime Records Bureau: 🔹 NCRB-Abhigyan 🔹 CrPI 🔹 E-Forensics 2.0 🔹 E-Prosecution 2.0 The conference also provided a valuable forum for deliberations on advanced trends and cutting-edge fingerprint identification technologies, fostering collaboration among forensic experts, fingerprint professionals, law enforcement agencies, researchers, and policymakers. We inaugurated the 6th Special Course on Digital Forensics & Cybersecurity for Judiciary Officers and Public Prosecutors from June 8–12, 2026. Designed to strengthen techno-legal capabilities in tackling modern cybercrimes and digital evidence, the programme is led by Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal, with inaugural remarks by Prof. (Dr.) Minakshi Sinha. Coordinated by Dr. Parul Arora and Mr. Aditya Partap Singh, the five-day course covers mobile forensics, crypto-tracking, drone/cloud forensics, deepfake investigations, OSINT, social media analytics, and legal admissibility of digital evidence.
