What an incredible two days at the Maritime Security Hackathon! 🌊⚓ I'm still feeling the thrill of the experience. There was an electric, fast-paced atmosphere in the room — the energy of working shoulder to shoulder with hackers, innovators, and brilliant minds racing against the clock. What struck me most was the chance to interact directly with the participants and discover so many different points of view, each one challenging assumptions and opening up new ways of thinking about complex problems. For Fincantieri, hackathons like this are not just an event — they are a key element of our strategy to drive innovation. Bringing together more than 70 participants from startups, institutions, the Defense sector, industry, and engineering officers from the Italian Navy, all working on real operational scenarios, is exactly how ideas turn into concrete prototypes with real impact. 🏆 Huge congratulations to Lares Technologies, the winning team, for their outstanding solution to manage underwater, surface, and aerial vehicles in an integrated way — both manned and unmanned. A well-deserved special mention also goes to the EchoLock project for pushing the boundaries of acoustic detection in complex underwater scenarios.
