This week marks 3 months back at BPP International Finance in Jersey. I honestly don't know where the time has gone. Here are my highlights: ✚ In my first couple of weeks, I had the pleasure of attending the Comply Offsite event hosted by local legend Ches Trower. It was an epic event, offering something unique, and different to the norm in Jersey. Compliance events don't have to be boring - as Ches demonstrated to us. ✚ Catching up with like-minded professionals more regularly in the sunshine. I am all about the walks and the decent coffee (okay, I am all about the wines as well, but lets glaze over that). A special shout out to Amanda Reilly - last month we almost got swept over the harbour wall in the wind. But the fresh air was great for the mind and the walk shredded some calories - in theory. ✚ Nouvelle Lunch Vibes: Once a month myself and two of my colleagues (Elly Powell and Richard Wheeler) head out for a lunch at a restaurant selected at random. There is only one rule: we never eat at the same place twice because we are blessed to live on an Island full of so many amazing eating establishments. Last week we hit up AWABI on Halkett Place - I can highly recommend it for those who haven't been. That Korean Chicken is next level. Feel free to recommend any options for our list please. ✚ Learning. This is to be expected because I work for an education business. But, genuinely, it's been great immersing myself in all things Professional Qualifications, learning more about the prestigious qualifications that our expert trainers teach on a daily basis, including: ACCA, ICAEW, The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI), Chartered Management Institute and The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland. Shout out to Stuart Chandler, Rory Gordon, Laura Miller, James Hay & Vickie Corson for continuing to educate me on the daily. Here's to the next three months and beyond.
