Team spirit, determination and a collaborative atmosphere defined our participation in the fourth stage of the BLV Advisory Group Padel Tournament. This time, our colleagues Aleksejs Tokarevs and Andrejs Žvaļikovskis represented #LNKIndustries, demonstrating determination and excellent teamwork throughout a series of exciting matches alongside professionals from the construction and real estate industries. Up to 240 tonnes - that's how the safety and load-bearing capacity of the overpass are put to the test! As the Kundziņsala Overpass entered the final stage of construction, load testing was carried out to verify the performance of the structure. During the tests, eight trucks, each with a gross weight of 30 tonnes, were positioned on the viaducts, creating a total load of up to 240 tonnes. At the same time, engineers conducted precise measurements to assess the behaviour of the structure under different loading conditions. The overpass connecting Tvaika Street and Kundziņsala is one of Riga's most significant transport infrastructure projects. Once completed, it will improve access to Kundziņsala and the industrial areas of the Port of Riga while providing safer and more efficient mobility for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists. Another significant step towards project completion! Load testing has begun on the overpass connecting Tvaika Street and Kundziņsala, one of the final and most critical stages before the structure is commissioned. We #LNKIndustries are proud to be part of this ambitious infrastructure project, which will improve traffic flow, enhance access to the Port of Riga and surrounding industrial areas, and contribute to the continued development of Riga’s transport network. During the testing process, up to eight trucks, each weighing 30 tonnes, are positioned on the viaduct structures to verify their load-bearing capacity and compliance with design specifications. At the same time, engineers carry out precise measurements to assess the performance of the structure under various load conditions.
