    Intersolar can be overwhelming. Hall after hall of inverters, PV panels and EV chargers. But it's also where you pick up what's on everyone's mind. Our bet is that this year there's more focus on the connectivity layer. How do OEMs make sure their assets offer easy, secure and reliable connections? We're using the event to meet OEMs who are serious about making distributed energy work at scale. And we're signing a few new partnerships we're genuinely excited about.   • Will we see you at Almedalen? This year Fever is heading to Almedalen, Sweden's leading forum for public policy, business, and societal debate. Our CEO Klas will be joining Norrsken VC's and AFRY's panels on Wednesday, and the team is always happy to meet others working in energy while we're there. We're also bringing our Fever Perspectives Dinner series to Gotland. These dinners bring together small groups with very different perspectives on the energy sector. The goal is simple: challenge assumptions, learn from each other, and better understand the forces shaping where energy is headed. The conversations sharpen our own thinking and keep us learning.   • You don't have to be the biggest energy company to lead on flexibility. Varberg Energi keeps proving it. Our team (Anna Gross and Alexandra Brinkeborn) spent time with Varberg's last week, and as always, it was time well spent. Over the years, we've worked together on everything from home battery optimisations, launching BRP Flex and optimising commercial sites. What stands out is Varberg's willingness to move early, test new things, and make flexibility real for customers. Not just a slide in a strategy deck. That's also where Fever fits in best: turning distributed energy into something that works in practice. For the business, the system, and the people in it. More with them, soon.

  • Turns out not knowing anything about energy was the plan all along.

    None of Fever's founding team started in energy. That turned out to be an advantage. In payments, trust is the product. Systems that "almost work" don't get used. There’s no tolerance for "good enough" when the alternative is a failed transaction. Trust has to be built in from the start, into the reliability of the system and the security of every layer. Energy is no different. If anything, the bar is higher. We’re dealing with critical infrastructure, tightly regulated markets, and systems people depend on every second of every day. So, we’ve made the same trade-offs. We’ve spent less time on what’s easy to demonstrate and more on what actually holds up in real-world operations. Less focus on the impressive demo; more focus on the system that performs six months after go-live. It’s a slower way to build. We think it’s the right one. And a loud shout-out to Magnus CW Nilsson and Jacob de Geer, not only for the experience in the payments industry but for being role models in how to build a great company with great people!

    When electricity prices double, so does the value of getting it right. A weak spring flood could double electricity prices in Sweden this May and June. Most people will read that as a climate story. It's also a systems story. When one variable shifts, water levels, wind, demand, the effects move fast. The system doesn't adapt on its own. Value goes to whoever can respond in real time. Everyone else absorbs the cost. Here's what that looks like in practice, based on real performance data from an average household in our portfolio with a 10 kWh battery. Without a battery: 90 EUR/month today 180 EUR/month if prices double With a 10 kWh battery and Fever optimization: 65 EUR/month today, 129 EUR if prices double 50 EUR earned from grid services in a doubled-price month That last part matters beyond the bill. When prices spike, it's usually because the grid is under stress. A battery that responds in real time doesn't just protect the customer, it helps stabilize the system causing the spike. The financial return and the grid contribution are the same action. As an energy retailer, this is what you can offer your customers. Not just protection from volatility. A system that turns volatility into value, for them and for the grid. Fever makes distributed energy work.

Celebrating a big milestone: 500+ PV sites from Ferroamp now live through bulk upload for Varberg Energi, a neat step forward for scaling distributed energy the fast way. Also our first terrace hangout of the year. A space that somehow works as meeting room, lunch spot, and BBQ afterworks venue all at once.   • The gap between top performing optimisers and the market is widening ⚡️ The Clean Horizon revenue benchmark for BESS performance in Sweden continued its downward trend in the first month of the year: 📉 December: 9,200 €/MW 📉 January: 6,000 €/MW For most battery optimisers, this 35% decline would signal significant headwinds, making it harder to realise the business case for their asset owners.
