Inform people about govt’s achievements to counter oppn’s narrative: CM to workers
BJP National President Nitin Nabin felicitates Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath with a bejewelled lord Ganesha idol during a meeting with MPs, MLAs and MLCs of the State, in Lucknow on Saturday
Lucknow: Citing the example of BJP’s recent victory in West Bengal Assembly elections, chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday emphasised the importance of communication to party workers to inform every section of society about the govt’s achievements.Interacting with UP BJP office-bearers at the state party office, Yogi said effective communication would enable the party to neutralise opposition’s attempts to vitiate the state’s atmosphere through negative narratives.Yogi noted that following Nitin Nabin’s appointment as BJP national president, under the guidance and leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP achieved victory in West Bengal for the first time and secured a third consecutive win in Assam. He cited BJP’s win in Kundarki Assembly bypolls in 2024 to buttress his point. The CM remarked that everyone witnessed a transforming India over the past 12 years and said under PM Modi, India carved out a new identity in every sector.“This is the first govt which has paved way for a harmonious blend of heritage and development. Organisation and party workers play a crucial role in ensuring that govt schemes effectively reach the common people,” he said.
Yogi said that prior to 2017, individuals faced an identity crisis, welfare schemes for the poor were plagued by rampant corruption and theft, and mafia-driven anarchy prevailed in every district.“Those who are unable to compete with the ‘double engine govt’ on issues like development, welfare schemes for the poor, and law and order are spreading misconceptions about caste divisions and rifts between the BJP and the ideological family. We must steer clear of this and avoid getting involved in matters that spoil the atmosphere,” he said.Yogi expressed confidence that the new UP BJP team would play a pivotal role in advancing programmes with a fresh approach, moving forward through better coordination between the govt and the organisation.UP BJP chief Pankaj Chaudhary said that the BJP govt has consistently strengthened law and order in the state while extending the benefits of development to the last person in the queue. “Through our grassroots workers, we must convey information about the govt’s initiatives to every household at every booth across the state. We must maintain continuous communication,” he said.Chaudhary said that no other party had a better system for political communication than the BJP. He expressed confidence that guided by the national leadership, the UP team would constantly review its performance and strive for improvement. He assured the central leadership that through hard work, the party members would not merely repeat history but create a new record of victory in 2027.
