Emergency Alert: US B-52 Bomber 'Signals Distress' While Flying Over United Kingdom | Watch

A U.S. strategic bomber may have faced a sudden mid-air threat over Europe. Flight tracking data reviewed by Newsweek and Flightradar24 shows a B-52H Stratofortress of the United States Air Force issued a 7700 emergency code while flying near Bristol in the United Kingdom on Tuesday morning. Reports said the aircraft took off from RAF Fairford and, within minutes, aborted its mission, returning safely to base. The emergency has raised questions about whether the bomber was under potential attack, coinciding with an increased U.S. strategic presence in Europe tied to the Iran conflict.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has criticised the Opposition for boycotting the traditional high-tea meeting ahead of the state legislature's Monsoon Session and alleged that its six-page memorandum was prepared using ChatGPT. Speaking at a press conference, Fadnavis said he suspected the document had been generated with the help of artificial intelligence and claimed the Opposition had run out of fresh ideas and issues. While taking a swipe at his political rivals, he also remarked that it was good to see them embracing AI technology. The Chief Minister further alleged that several sections of the memorandum were identical to submissions made in previous years. His comments come as Maharashtra gears up for a potentially contentious Monsoon Session, with issues related to farmers, governance and welfare schemes expected to dominate discussions.
