India strongly criticised Pakistan at the United Nations Security Council after Islamabad raised the Kashmir issue during a high-level debate. India's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish, accused Pakistan of misusing the UN platform to spread a false narrative and reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir has always been, is, and will remain an integral and inalienable part of India.The Indian envoy also accused Pakistan of using cross-border terrorism as an instrument of state policy and said meaningful cooperation, including under the Indus Water Treaty, cannot be built on mutual trust while terrorism continues. Harish further said the only outstanding issue in Jammu and Kashmir is Pakistan's illegal occupation of Indian territory and urged Islamabad to address its own internal problems instead of targeting India.
