INS Mahendragiri Joins Indian Navy, Boosting Maritime Power Amid Indo-Pacific Challenges | Watch

India is set to strengthen its naval capabilities with the commissioning of INS Mahendragiri, an advanced indigenous stealth guided missile frigate built under Project 17A. Designed by the Indian Navy and constructed by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, the warship features over 75 percent indigenous content and is equipped with advanced missile systems, sensors and combat technologies. The induction comes amid growing Indo-Pacific security challenges and is expected to enhance India's maritime surveillance, anti-submarine warfare capabilities and long-range deployment strength while boosting the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
