  • What a day at our London Expo! Over 1,000 people joined us at our Twickenham Foodie Expo, as customers, colleagues, suppliers and members of the Brakes team, creating an incredible atmosphere from start to finish. From outstanding food and inspiring product showcases to valuable conversations, the event truly demonstrated the power of our One Team approach. It was fantastic to see customers experiencing first-hand how Brakes can support and help grow their businesses as a true one-stop shop. A huge thank you to everyone who made the day such a success - from our chefs and category experts, to the event, sales, logistics, marketing and social media teams. It was a fantastic day!

🌱 Securing the future of food is part of everyone’s job 🌱 That’s the message we delivered on the sustainability training day for leaders across Sysco GB this week. 🙏 Huge thanks to Barfoots, for hosting a brilliant day, taking us into the fields to show the work they’re doing to create resilient food supply in the face of more and more extreme weather events. Right in the middle of another heatwave! 🚜

  • Last month, we hosted a Charity Day which raised over £100,000 for Meals & More to help children across the UK. The day offered a variety of activities, from spa treatments and sushi making workshops to golf and motorsports. At a time when child poverty, food insecurity and loneliness are at record levels, Meals & More continues to be a vital lifeline for so many families. This year marks the charity's biggest commitment yet, with more than half a million pounds being invested in supporting children nationwide. The funds raised at the Charity Day will play a crucial role in helping Meals & More continue its impactful work and reach even more children who need support.

  • We are proud to renew our long-term partnership with @NatashasFoundation, committing to a further three years of support to help drive greater awareness, education and research into food allergies across the UK. Over the past three years, we’ve worked together to strengthen allergen understanding across the foodservice sector, support the intent of Natasha’s Law, and provide practical resources that help operators keep consumers safe. With food allergies now affecting 2.4 million adults and 1 in 13 children in the UK, there has never been a more important time to support their work. Through this renewed partnership, we’ll continue supporting initiatives including Allergy School, the Natasha Clinical Trial, and ongoing efforts to improve allergy management nationwide. Together, we’re helping to build the knowledge, confidence and systems needed to create a safer future for everyone living with food allergies. 💙
