A fantastic day for the inaugural Chevin Homes Cricket Softball Tournament at a sun-drenched Duffield Cricket Club. Congratulations to Derbyshire County Cricket Club who won a great final against the high scoring Nelsons & FHP Property Consultants team. There were strong performances during the day from the Mather Jamie, Clowes Developments, threeguru and Planning & Design Practice LTD teams, and it was a pleasure to see so many other teams and individuals take part representing Wheeldon 1867 Smith PartnershipGCA (UK) Ltd Mellor Reid Architects Bates Weston Heatons Innes England Boxall Brown & Jones David Brown Commercial GRT Architecture Ltd Bradmans as well as spectators from across the Derbyshire business community. The event also raised money for Derbyshire Cricket Foundation Ltd and thank you to Wheeldon 1867, Derbyshire County Cricket Club & Chevin Group Holdings for donating prizes, former England cricketer John Morris for hosting our auction, and Birds for supplying the food for the day. A brilliant day had by all and we are looking forward to doing it all again next year !

As we come to the end of the first half of 2026, it seems a good time to reflect on a great past six months for Chevin Homes We have been delighted with the feedback and earlier reservations taken after launching our new developments at New House Farm in Mickleover and Nursery Mews in Borrowash.  Our developments at The Beeches in Allestree are now fully occupied together with Castle Orchard in Castle Donington which was completed earlier this year, while we also welcomed customers to their new homes at Manor Farm and Dale Grange.  In the second half of the year, we will be announcing two new exciting developments in Derbyshire where construction on site will soon be underway, together with revealing details of the stunning Farmhouses at both Manor Farm & New House Farm along with the rest of the truly unique farmyard properties.  During 2026 we are delighted to have already acquired three new sites including an exciting promotion opportunity in Matlock, along with having multiple planning applications in-train for new developments due to come forward in 2027.  We have continued to support local events, community and sporting teams across Derbyshire including cementing our long-term associations with Derbyshire County Cricket Club and Derbyshire Cricket Foundation Ltd The wider group Chevin Group Holdings, has also been busy in the first half of the year by acquiring two quality freehold investments at Friar Gate and Duffield, together with seeing strong commercial rental demand which included agreeing a long-term lease for The Dye House in Milford. A brilliant first half of the year and exciting times ahead for the rest of 2026.
