One week to go to get your firm on the Leeds Tech Map.
Want to be on the new Leeds Tech Map? You’ve got just over a week to apply. We're revamping the map, with a launch next month. If you want to be on the new one, enter The Techs Factor and fill in the form in the comments before Friday 16th January - even if you're on the existing map. To be on the map, you'll need to have a software development element to your work (so no IT resellers, digital agencies etc - sorry!) and the majority of your tech team should be based in Leeds. The Workspaces, Professional Support, and Networks & Meetups sectors won't need a software element. All firms featured on the map will be given a printed copy - and we'll be bringing back the #StuPS Brompton Bicycle delivery service! Thanks to our sponsors ALT Legal and BHP, Chartered Accountants for supporting the new version of the Leeds Tech Map. Anna Ashford, Head of ALT Legal, said: “We’re proud to back the new Leeds Tech Map, a brilliant showcase of the exciting and innovative companies across our region. Leeds has one of the best tech ecosystems in the UK and ALT Legal want to play our part in helping it grow - supporting the founders, organisations and businesses driving it forward by promoting the Tech Map.” Chris Neale, Partner at BHP, said: “BHP and Translink Corporate Finance are extremely proud to sponsor the Leeds Tech Map. We work with so many brilliant tech businesses across the region and genuinely enjoy being part of this thriving community. The energy, ambition and values of the sector really resonate with us, and we’re here to help it grow.” Thanks also to our official data partners, The Data City, who will make sure we're not missing any incredible tech firms. Alex Craven, CEO at The Data City said: "The Data City is proud to be the official data partner for the new Leeds Tech Map. Over the past five years, we’ve mapped and analysed the city’s thriving tech ecosystem and frontier economy, charting its rapid growth and evolution. Leeds has become a leading hub of innovation and collaboration, and we’re delighted to help showcase its success." And thanks to Jonathan Symcox, and Christopher Maguire from our media partners, BusinessCloud, for helping us spread the word about the map.
