  • Yesterday we held our annual Hospitality Forum and what an incredible turnout it was! It continues to be one of the highlights of the year, bringing our teams together to share ideas, connect with our valued suppliers, and discover new products that will delight our guests and add that special something to our food and hospitality service across the business. This year, we were delighted to welcome some fantastic partners to our Supplier Village, each with their own incredible stories of quality, sustainability, and provenance. To name just a few: Hattingley Valley, Pure, Mejuicer, Brindisa, and NEMI Teas; a London-based social enterprise that reinvests its profits to create training and employment opportunities for refugees.👏 A huge thank you to everyone who attended and supported the Forum. Events like these take months of planning and a tremendous amount of teamwork, so it is incredibly rewarding to see the energy and feel the buzz from attendees, as they head back to their sites inspired and ready to put new innovations into practice. #Forum #SupplierVillage #CulinaryInnovation #Hospitality #ServiceExcellence Sally Hillman, Daniel C. • 🎾 Wimbledon is in full swing and the excitement is being celebrated across all our sites! A huge shout-out to our talented Patisserie Chef, Leanne De'Ath and her team, for the exquisite Wimbledon-inspired dessert station that has delighted our guests. Every detail has helped bring the spirit of the Championships to life as we sit on the edge of our seats, cheering on Arthur Fery and wishing him the very best on his journey towards a Wimbledon final. A special celebration of tennis, creativity and community. 🍓✨🎾 #Desserts #Wimbledon #Wimbledon2026 #dessertstation #celebrations

  • In the midst of service, moments like this can easily pass by, but this one truly felt #PicturePerfect. 📸 Set against the stunning Hampshire countryside, we spent a memorable day with the wonderful team at ChalkStream, sharing the experience with several of our clients. We showcased ChalkStream trout in a number of delicious ways, from bespoke cured dishes and both hot- and cold-smoked creations to whole trout that had been swimming only minutes before our guests arrived. Cooked simply over open coals by the riverbank, the focus was on respecting an exceptional ingredient and allowing its quality to really shine. 🐟✨ Jonathan Gray, john killington, Adam Thomason #pictureperfect #memorable #occassions #entertaining

  • A big shout out to UKHospitality for the recent launch of its new Nutrition Guide. 👏 It really cuts through the nutritional “noise” from less credible sources and is going to be an amazing resource to help chefs create healthier and more nutritious dishes. With clear guidance and simple messaging, it will also help customers when they are looking for work lunches that support their health and wellbeing goals. We were privileged to be invited to the launch, hosted by Caravan Restaurants | B Corp™. It was a fantastic opportunity to hear first-hand how the guide will help operators evolve their food offering, as well as to network and hear from the experts behind the guide during an insightful panel discussion. One of the key takeaways was that customer preferences are moving away from restriction-based messaging and towards a more balanced approach to nutrition. Rather than focusing on removing ingredients, consumers are increasingly looking to add beneficial nutrients to their diets.  Protein remains a top priority, with fibre close behind. Definitely food for thought! #HospitalityAction #NutritionGuide #Launch #AchievingGoals #Wellness Luxey Dayanandan RNutr, Vishnu Nelavagal, Adam Thomason, Daisy Henderson (ANutr)

  • We are shining a spotlight on our Executive Chef, Gary Wolfe, who has recently been recognised at the British Culinary Federation Awards. Gary was presented with the Competition Chef of the Year Award, recognising his outstanding contributions to the culinary competition arena across all sectors of the industry. It is a fantastic achievement, and we are incredibly proud to celebrate his success. We caught up with Gary to hear about the experience: "Once I heard I had been nominated I felt very proud and honoured to be recognised alongside such talented rising stars and established chefs who have competed across the UK and internationally. On the night, as they started to read out the bio of the winner it was only then I thought, 'that sounds a lot like me' and the realisation kicked in that I had won. "It really makes all of the sacrifice and dedication worthwhile. Looking ahead, I would really like to mentor and encourage more chefs to enter the competition arena and create their own journey of success!" Congratulations, Gary. 👏 Kianna Bahrami, Adam Thomason, Sally Hillman, Phil Clerkin #Leadingtalent #BritishCulinaryFederationAwards #Awards #CulinaryCompetitions

  • 🌍 #LondonClimateActionWeek - bringing people together in action With food systems being the second biggest contributor to greenhouse emissions, it is more important than ever that the food we serve reflects our commitment to a more sustainable future. At Restaurant Associates, we partner with Foodsteps to better understand and reduce the environmental impact of our menus, while empowering our teams to bring these conversations to life for our guests. Most recently, our teams delivered a Future 50-inspired menu, featuring dishes rated A–C by Foodsteps, including a delicious squash and chickpea stew served with a variety of grains. 🥗 At another site, the team created a thoughtfully curated hospitality lunch that invited guests to consider what our meals could look like in 2046 and 2066. The experience explored how the evolving relationship between food systems, sustainability, climate change and public health will shape the way we eat in the decades ahead, highlighting the important role each has to play in building a more resilient future. 💡 Vishnu Nelavagal, Luxey Dayanandan RNutr, Matt Gransden, #LondonClimateActionWeek #Sustainability #ClimateAction #FoodSystems #Foodsteps #Future50

  • 🌍 #LondonClimateActionWeek, bringing people together in action With temperatures continuing to rise this week, it is a huge reminder of the very real impact of climate change. As food providers, we have a responsibility to play our part in protecting and restoring nature through the choices we make in both our operations and sourcing practices. By purchasing food responsibly, we can support regenerative farming methods and work alongside suppliers who share our commitment. This week, our valued supplier Wildfarmed invited us to one of their renowned field trips and despite the heat, it was an opportunity we could not turn down! Our teams always look forward to these visits. They are high-energy, really inspiring, and give fantastic insight into just how important healthy soils are for building resilient food systems. They also provide a great glimpse into the future of farming and Wildfarmed’s ambitious vision for driving the regenerative agriculture movement forward. 🚜 🥪 ♥️ Thank you to Wildfarmed for hosting us. With #LondonClimateActionWeek and a mini heatwave in full swing, your insights have left our teams even more motivated and inspired. 👏 #PeopleAndPlanet #Sustainability #HealthAndWellbeing #ClimateAction #SocialValue #Nutrition #SustainableFood #LondonClimateActionWeek

  • Yesterday marked #ArmedForcesSpousesDay here at Compass Group UK & Ireland. We celebrated the occasion by bringing colleagues together from across Compass Group UK & Ireland for a collaborative workshop delivered by the Forces Employment Charity at our Learning Loft training centre. The session provided valuable insights into the skills, experiences, and attributes that members of the Armed Forces community bring to the workplace, while exploring how we can continue to strengthen pathways into meaningful civilian careers. Bringing together teams from across our sectors created a fantastic opportunity to share ideas, learn from one another, and reinforce our collective commitment to supporting veterans, service leavers, reservists, and military families. Sarah Tott, People Operations & Compliance Manager at Restaurant Associates UK and a military spouse, who attended the event, said: "As a member of the Armed Forces community within Compass, it is fantastic to see the organisation recognising the contributions and sacrifices that come with being part of a military family. It makes us feel valued and acknowledges the skills and experiences we bring to the workplace. It is also great to have a network of people who understand the challenges we face." A big thank you to the Forces Employment Charity and our speakers for delivering such an engaging and informative workshop, and to everyone who participated and contributed to the discussions. #ArmedForcesWeek #MilitaryFamilies #SaluteOurForces Stephanie Robertson DipWSET, Sally Hillman, Sarah Tott
