What's top of mind for him: cyber, automation, and making IT a safe place to innovate. 📊 Mike talks about how EA's need to build flexible architecture that is able to take advantage of opportunities through innovation. He references an example of an EA who came into a grocery chain who had a 2 year programme and was innovative enough to reuse existing systems to achieve business outcomes in 4 months. 1 month planning and 90 days until it went live for customers. 🛍️ 🛒 For Enterprise Architects, his message is clear: ▶️ Be part of the project process early, not in an ivory tower. ▶️ Keep architecture as simple and flexible as possible. ▶️ Define and own your scope. Above all; speak the language of the business. Value is only clear when communicated in business terms as execs dont care about the technology.
