Personal financial advisory start-up Clove has emerged from stealth mode following a $14 million pre-seed funding round led by Accel. Investa Launches a UK Zero-Commission Options Trading App Investa has formally launched the UK’s first zero-commission options trading app, aiming to make a complex and often costly investment product more accessible to retail investors. Built by former Citi options brokers alongside Freetrade co-founder Ian Fuller, Investa debuted on iOS following a soft launch that facilitated more than 1,400 trades. 💡 £1.6m Innovate UK “Sovereign AI” fund opens today, built for fast, focused proofs of concept This morning, UKRI / Innovate UK opened Sovereign AI: Series One, a £1.6 million funding call designed for single-company proof-of-concept projects in cutting-edge AI. Why it matters: • Funding for short, agile projects (1–3 months) starting no later than 1 January 2026 • Total project costs: £50k–£120k • Funding rates: up to 70% for small firms, 60% for medium, 50% for large • Focus: advancing the state of the art in embodied, agentic, or neuromorphic AI – or using AI for materials discovery • Strong emphasis on compute access and a clear data strategy from day one Application window: Opens today at 09:30 and closes 10 September at 11:00 – just four weeks away.
