The 2026 theme, "Skills for a shared future", could not be timelier: as artificial intelligence, the green transition and growing social complexity reshape how we learn and work, young people need more than technical know-how. They need to combine digital, green, social-emotional and civic competencies with the human qualities no technology can replace. ⭐ At Trust-IT Services, this is a cause close to our own European mission. The Industrial Alliance for Semiconductors ALLPROS.eu is helping Europe navigate the next phase of its #chips strategy, most recently at its 26 June strategy event in Brussels on the proposed Chips Act 2.0. Building on more than €52 billion in investments and 46,000 jobs, the EU is now shifting focus towards reducing strategic dependencies, strengthening R&I and speeding up deployment. Chips Act 2.0 aims to secure critical supply chains, accelerate permitting and support the design and production of the microchips Europe needs for autonomous mobility, 6G and advanced manufacturing. What lies ahead for Europe's semiconductor market? At the Industrial Alliance for Semiconductors meeting last week, three partners of the ALLPROS.eu consortium, IDC Europe, DECISION Etudes & Conseil and Yole Group, shared strategic market insights, highlighting the key trends that will shape the future of Europe's #semiconductor ecosystem. 📊 IDC projects the global semiconductor market to reach €1.058B by 2030, with sustained double-digit growth in the coming years, including +11.3% in 2025. This expansion is driven by long-term structural trends such as AI, advanced #connectivity and the continued #digitalisation of industries. 🤖 Yole Group highlighted the transformative impact of #AI on semiconductor demand. Fueled by the rapid adoption of generative AI, the GPU market is expected to reach $449 billion, while AI ASICs are forecast to grow to $142 billion over the next five years. ☁️ Decision underlined that by 2030, #data centres, #cloud computing and AI will become the primary growth engine of the electronics industry, with servers emerging as the largest electronics segment.
