Thrilled to welcome Toby Brown to AUI™ (Augmented Intelligence). Toby spent over 16 years at Wells Fargo, including as EVP & COO, and most recently led regulated industry solutions at Google Cloud, working directly with the most demanding organizations in the world on getting conversational AI from concept to production (hint: it still cannot work without a neuro-symbolic core and logical reasoning). Toby is joining to lead GTM Strategy & Operations and Strategic Partnerships alongside his friend Zac Maufe. Agents that work on behalf of companies cannot rely on an LLM core. After four incredible years at Google Cloud, I’m taking the next leap. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the world’s leading organizations— partnering with CXOs in highly regulated industries to bring AI from concept to reality. It’s been a front-row seat to the generative AI revolution, and a truly defining chapter of my career. But what I’ll value most are the people. The brilliant teammates, collaborators, and friends who made the journey what it was— thank you. Today, I’m excited to share that I’ve joined AUI (Augmented Intelligence) to lead GTM Strategy & Operations and Strategic Partnerships! I’ll be working alongside Ohad Elhelo, Ori Cohen, Zac Maufe, and an exceptional team building something truly different. 🚀 Why AUI? Because this isn’t incremental—it’s 0→1 innovation. While much of the industry is layering orchestration and scaffolding on top of LLMs to try to make agents work, AUI took a fundamentally different path. As Ohad likes to say, when the industry went right, AUI went left—about 8 miles left. Its neuro-symbolic AI model, Apollo-1, flips the paradigm: • The system is structured, transparent, and explainable by design • You can see exactly how decisions are made—what rules fired, what state it was in, and why it acted (or didn’t) • You can interact with and modify agent behavior in natural language, with deterministic and permanent outcomes • Critically, it unifies symbolic reasoning with neural language understanding—so agents can both reason with precision and handle the ambiguity of real-world conversations The moment I saw Apollo-1 in action, it clicked. I saw a clear path to production-grade AI agents at scale—even in the most complex, high-stakes environments.
