The U.S. ended its de minimis last year, and in May 2026, CBP clarified that low-value postal shipments are subject to all applicable duties. Others followed suit. The EU's exemption for low-value exports ends July 1 and creates an interim flat custom fee. This increases costs and operation complexity, making landed cost clarity and automation a must to protect profits and keep the customer experience frictionless.
