At CarMax, helping our communities thrive and making a positive social impact is core to who we are and how we conduct business. And during CarMax Cares Month, that commitment shows up in a big way. 💛💙 This year, we’re spotlighting two partnerships: Points of Light and KABOOM!

This Pride Month, we’re celebrating how our associates show up for one another and their communities. For De’Monté Mann, Vehicle Condition Assessor at CarMax’s Roswell location, that meant working alongside his store team to create care packages and handwritten notes for members of the LGBTQ+ community in a local shelter. De’Monté shared that this was an experience that strengthened his sense of belonging and reminded him that CarMax is “exactly where I needed to be.” Imanol Jaramillo Mayo, sales manager at our Buford location, says that Pride means “being able to show up as yourself, without diminishing any part of who you are.” He recently experienced that support firsthand when his team came together to celebrate his engagement. #PrideMonth #LifeAtCarMax

Happy National Automotive Service Professionals Day! 🚙 Today, we’re celebrating the incredible technicians and service associates across our locations in 42 states. These are the skilled professionals who recondition, repair, and prepare every vehicle so customers can buy with confidence. Julia Cao, a CarMax customer advisor, grew up the daughter of Vietnamese immigrants in Lancaster, PA — a place where her family's culture and her hometown couldn't have felt more different. Her parents modeled quiet, tireless community service: her father served as a Vietnamese interpreter, helping neighbors find jobs and study for citizenship tests, and her mother ran a nonprofit focused on food insecurity. Today, Julia carries this same spirit to her community. She co‑founded Lancaster Asian American and Pacific Islanders (LAAPI) to celebrate and connect Asian‑identifying communities in her region, and she also helps connect CarMax associates to causes that reflect their own passions. Julia shared a Vietnamese proverb that feels especially fitting: “One tree makes no hill. Three trees together make a high mountain.” This AAPI Heritage Month, we’re proud to recognize associates like Julia and the communities they help strengthen. 🏔️ #AAPIHeritageMonth #LifeAtCarMax"

One of the best parts of our culture is getting to cheer each other on, at work and beyond. 💙 💛 Meet Boris Iniguez, a sales associate at our SE Orlando store, who recently summited Cotopaxi, an active volcano in Ecuador, reaching 5,897 meters above sea level after a six-hour climb. It’s an incredible personal achievement, and a reminder that big goals are built on focus, discipline, and determination. Congratulations, Boris, and thank you for sharing your adventure with us! 🌋
