Small businesses power our local economy, and we're committed to helping them thrive. Today, we joined Joe's Auto & Truck Repair in Elmhurst to highlight how we're helping local businesses manage rising energy costs through energy efficiency programs, incentives and a one-time Customer Relief Fund. These energy efficiency efforts, have helped small businesses save more than $262 million in annual energy costs and provided more than $600 million in incentives to support energy-saving upgrades. About us
At ComEd, we believe in being an energy partner, not just an energy provider. Being a provider means we deliver electricity to over 4 million customers across northern Illinois, which accounts for about 70 percent of the state’s population. We do so safely and reliably because we are driven by the innovation that comes from the industry expertise our employees offer. And we're committed to pursuing best-in-class performance so that our customers receive the quality service they expect and deserve. We have championed investments in technology that help shorten outages and make them less frequent, and those investments empower our customers to make smart choices about energy usage. Being a partner means we also help our customers discover new ways to save money on electric bills, while also showing how they can help the environment by decreasing their carbon footprint. We also support a range of initiatives that make a difference in people’s lives. Our commitment focuses on education, environment, arts and culture, and community development. At ComEd, #PoweringLives isn’t just a motto. It is the driving force behind everything we do. Learn more about ComEd anytime at www.ComEd.com.

3,500 kits. More than 50 interns. One shared mission. 💙 Our #ComEdInterns teamed up with our emergency preparedness team to assemble more than 3,500 emergency outage kits filled with essential supplies—including rechargeable light bulbs, solar lanterns and first-aid kits—to help customers stay prepared in the event of extended outages caused by severe storms. The project gave interns an opportunity to support local communities while learning about emergency preparedness and customer service. A big thank you to our interns for beating the heat and helping our communities stay safe this storm season.

Take a look back at an inspiring week of learning at the 2026 #ExelonFoundation #STEMAcademies. More than 100 Chicago-area high school students spent a week exploring STEM careers, connecting with industry professionals and gaining firsthand insight into the future of energy. It was a powerful reminder of what's possible when students are supported, encouraged and exposed to new opportunities. Thank you to the ComEd and Exelon employees who helped inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.
