Gartner's latest Market Guide for Carbon Accounting and Management Software points to a specific bottleneck behind why AI and GenAI tools are producing limited value in this market: "persistent gaps in the availability and quality of the underlying source data." Industrial operations generate enormous volumes of sensor readings and supply chain records. That volume rarely converts into usable evidence, because the system breaks down at provenance. A dataset with no governed, auditable chain of custody cannot satisfy a buyer audit, price a CBAM cargo, or support a sustainability-linked loan covenant, regardless of how advanced the software processing it is. Gartner recommends that organizations with energy-intensive operations prioritize "OT integration and the ability to integrate direct emissions data captured by sensors and meters." That recommendation describes the technology we built at Context Labs: a chain of custody from sensor to audit trail, validated by third party verifiers. Context Labs was named a Representative Vendor in this Gartner Market Guide (G00842199) for our DaaS platform. Trust in emissions data depends on infrastructure built for verification at the source, not on software applied downstream of it. Our team will be at LNG Export NA 2026 (Energy Projects Conference & Exhibition), where industry leaders are addressing the challenges and opportunities shaping the next generation of LNG projects. As LNG projects continue to scale, success increasingly depends on the ability to connect operational, regulatory, and commercial data across the value chain. Robust digital infrastructure is becoming essential for managing risk, improving transparency, and enabling the next generation of Industrial AI. At Context Labs BV, we’re helping organizations build the trusted data foundations needed to support resilient operations, regulatory agility, and better business outcomes. We look forward to connecting this week, June 16–17, at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. #EPCShow #LNGExport #IndustrialAI #DataInfrastructure #EnergyInfrastructure #ContextLabs Matt Gastgeb

Our team is at the Methane Mitigation Summit Series - Technology & Innovation World Summit in The Woodlands, Texas, on June 3–4. This year’s focus on where technical excellence meets strategic leadership reflects a broader shift: reliable emissions quantification is no longer just an engineering challenge. As regulatory, commercial, and operational expectations evolve, trusted data and robust digital infrastructure are becoming essential foundations for progress. We’re looking forward to connecting with operators, technology innovators, and industry leaders advancing the future of methane mitigation. We’ll see you there. #MethaneMitigationSummit #Emissions #DataInfrastructure #IndustrialAI #ContextLabs Mark C.

Last week our CEO Dan Harple received an Honorary Doctorate of Science and delivered the Commencement address at the University of Rhode Island. This speech hit different. The University graduates and those in attendance didn't boo AI, as audiences have at other CEO commencement speeches this season. They cheered. Why? They responded to purpose. Thank you Microsoft for bringing together leaders across the industry for open, practical dialogue on what comes next in agentic AI systems. As the energy sector takes major strides toward industrial AI, opportunities to connect, share perspectives, and learn from one another are essential to building a more resilient future.
Terrific meeting of industry minds at the Microsoft 𝗔𝗜 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 in Munich, where the message was consistent and energizing. Across #energy operators and services providers, the conversation has clearly moved beyond AI hype to agentic #AI: systems that take action and deliver measurable business value today. Leaders shared how connected AI agents are helping tackle complex operational challenges, safely and at scale, across the value chain. Grateful to our customers and #partners for their openness in sharing experiences and perspectives. This is how we build the future of energy together. 🫱🏾🫲🏾 Aker BP ASA | Baker Hughes | Context Labs BV | Equinor | Harbour Energy | HELLENiQ ENERGY | Italgas | MOL Romania | ORLEN S.A. | OMV | repsol | Shell | SOCAR Türkiye | SoftServe | TotalEnergies | ORLEN Unipetrol

Context Labs is referenced in the International Energy Agency (IEA) Global Methane Tracker 2026. Within the chapter “Addressing Methane in the Marketplace,” our digital platform is identified among supply-chain protocols supporting measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) of emissions data. The IEA’s Global Methane Tracker 2026 highlights growing pressure from major gas-importing regions for transparent, verifiable methane data across supply chains. The report points to a rising ecosystem of voluntary frameworks, certification schemes, and digital platforms enabling emissions transparency and differentiation in global energy markets. It also underscores the significant emissions reduction potential from lowering methane intensity in traded oil and gas. The inclusion reflects the increasing role of digital infrastructure in enabling more transparent, traceable, and accountable methane data across global energy markets. It was great to be at the Eurogas Methane Emissions Conference in Brussels last week together with energy leaders across the value chain. In discussions of how to prepare for a future with the new EU Methane Regulation, we circle back to the source. What is the best data available, and how we can utilise that to our best ability to enable regulatory, commercial and operational goals? Let’s look at the evidence. • The requirement is to present the best available evidence, not a single method • Certification is the process of assessing that evidence—it’s not sufficient on its own • Independent verification is required, and capacity is still limited • Data has to be discoverable and usable across organizations—otherwise it doesn’t scale Looking forward to more conversations on what comes next. #ContextLabs #DataIntegrity #EUMethaneRegulation

Great to see this perspective from Williams at CERAWeek last week. As Williams highlights, natural gas quantification and certification is creating new pathways for differentiation, building traceability, verification, and trusted data across the value chain. Bringing measurement to market is well underway — and we’re here for it.
At #CERAWeek, the conversation around certified natural gas is shifting from measurement to market. Certified natural gas—gas that is independently measured, verified and tracked for its emissions attributes across the value chain—is creating new opportunities to differentiate lower-emissions energy. As Zachary Keith, P.E. noted, the industry has made real progress. Now it’s about scaling it through markets that reward that performance. At Williams, we’re innovating through certified natural gas, traceability and collaboration across the value chain.
