  • 5% of your EBITDA is missing. It's not on any report. That's what EY estimates businesses lose annually to revenue leakage, and most of it never shows up as a single write-off. It leaks out a few dollars at a time, buried across thousands of invoices, contracts, and billing records no team has the bandwidth to fully check. Research puts the scale at 2-10% of earned revenue lost every year. For most companies, that's millions of dollars spread across thousands of small, invisible losses instead of one big red flag. Here's the part that makes it worse: manual audits typically catch leakage 45 to 90 days after it happens, long after the invoice is paid and the budget is closed. We broke down where revenue leakage actually hides, why traditional audits and black-box AI tools can't close the gap, and how explainable invoice integrity is helping finance teams catch (and recover) it before it costs them. • Our Founder & CEO Jon Brewton puts it plainly: when permitting timelines improve, value is created on both sides of the process. Applicants gain predictability. Agencies gain throughput. And the broader community gains jobs, activity, and fiscal returns. But speed along is not the goal. The goal is smarter decision infrastructure - AI the brings structure, context, and traceability to a process that has historically been fragmented and cumbersome. Human-led decisions, supported by explainable AI. Not automation for its own sake. This is exactly what we are building at data² with the reView™️ platform. Our approach to permitting modernization is grounded in one principle: understanding before approving. Read Jon's perspective and how we're changing the permitting space for good. 👇

Your permit timeline isn't a paperwork problem. It's a data problem. Digitizing forms and portals hasn't solved permitting delays - because the real bottleneck isn't moving documents faster. It's a lack of understanding: fragmented data, disconnected agencies, and stakeholders working without shared context. In our newest article, Jason Marceau, our Head of Product Solutions, makes the case for Decision Intelligence as the next era of permitting modernization and why understanding may be the most valuable capability in the permitting process. • Permitting shouldn't be the bottleneck standing between American projects and American progress - but too often, it is. Proud to see our Chief Operating Officer, Kerynn Holtzman, and Head of Product Solutions, Jason Marceau, help shape the conversation with the GovCX Collective for "Permitting - Pivotal to Rebuilding America," discussing how agencies can move from review gridlock to faster, defensible decisions. This is exactly the kind of cross-sector conversation that needs to happen as the country looks to rebuild infrastructure, energy capacity, and critical projects at scale. Thank you to Nancy Morgan and Jeffrey Brooks for bringing this conversation together. We're excited to keep building on this work with our partners at NuAxis Innovations to turn permitting from a black box into a clear, explainable path to "yes." #Permitting #DecisionIntellligence

Wednesday's GovCX Collective event — Permitting: Pivotal to Rebuilding America — reminded us just how much is riding on getting this right.   Permitting sits at the intersection of energy, AI infrastructure, domestic manufacturing, and national competitiveness. The conversation our panelists brought to the room reflected that weight — and then some.   Thank you to Nancy Morgan, Jeffrey Brooks, and Jason Marceau for lending your expertise and perspective. A big thank you to our co-host data² for helping make this event possible.   More conversations like this one are coming. The energy industry doesn't have a data problem. It has a coordination problem. AI growth, data center expansion, and electrification are driving demand that's outpacing every historical model - the IEA projects data center electricity use could more than double by 2030. But the real bottleneck isn't generation capacity. It's that permitting, transmission, financing, and workforce planning all operate in silos - a delay in one cascades through all the others. In our latest article, Jason Marceau, our Head of Product Solutions, makes the case for Decision Intelligence - connecting fragmented systems so organization can see how the whole ecosystem behaves, not just its individual parts. The next competitive advantage in energy won't go to whoever has the most data. It'll go to whoever understands the system best. A key takeaway from Day 2 at Global Energy Show Canada : the future of energy isn’t just about generating more data it’s about turning data into better decisions. It was great to hear industry leaders (data² )discuss how AI is transforming market visibility, forecasting, risk management, and supply chain resilience across global energy markets. One theme stood out: **organizations that can effectively connect data, analytics, and business outcomes will be best positioned to lead in a rapidly changing landscape.** The conversation around AI in energy is just getting started, and we’re excited to continue it throughout the show. If you’re attending, stop by Booth #2625 in the AI & Data Centre Zone and let’s talk about unlocking more value from the data you already have. brs data² XQ — Zero Trust Data Security Platform ATCO Ventures

Day 2 of the Global Energy Show Canada brought together some of the sharpest minds in energy and technology, and we were proud to be part of the conversation. Jon Brewton joined an incredible panel: "From Data to Decisions: How AI is Rewiring Global Energy Markets" Alongside moderator Harish Consul (Founder & CEO, Ocgrow Ventures) and fellow panelist Scott Sherwood (CTO, Kpler), the discussion tackled some of the most pressing questions in the industry: - How AI is transforming market visibility and risk management - The role of data in shaping global commodity trading and forecasting - AI's growing impact on supply chains and energy security - What the future of AI-driven decision-making looks like in high-stakes energy markets The energy transition isn't just a physical transformation - it's a data transformation. The companies that harness the right intelligence will be the ones shaping what comes next. Thank you to the Global Energy Show Canada for having us. The conversations don't stop there. Be sure to stop by our booth (#2625 in the AI & Data Centre Zone) to see how we're helping energy leaders drive value and find revenue leakage in their existing data.
