REK0 was the greatest robot fight in history. Two weeks ago, we made history at Temple Nightclub in San Francisco. REK0 wasn’t just a robot fight — it was a show. With over 3000 attendees, it was the most attended event in Temple’s 20-year history. Not because we had humanoid robots, but because we focused on what really matters: entertainment. Too many robot events are just tech demos built to impress the uninitiated. REK0 was made to entertain anyone, including those with deep robotic expertise. In fact, we had attendees who work on robotics at Unitree, 1x, Foundation, Figure, Meta, ByteDance, and Tesla in the audience. From the lights and energy to the crowd’s reactions, it was clear: people don’t want to just watch robots exist: they want to see them fight. And then celebrate like humans do with music, dance, and drinks after. REK proved that the future of robotics isn’t behind glass in a lab. It’s in front of a live audience in the REKtagon: roaring as two machines beat each other into bolts in real time. Piloted by humans, powered by REK TEK, and designed for spectacle. This is the beginning of a new sport. This is REK. #REK #robot #robots #robotics #sports #innovation #VR #teleoperation #REK0 #SanFrancisco #nightlife #events
