About us
Rocket Lab builds, launches, and operates rockets and spacecraft for our global customers. Our Electron launch vehicle is the world’s most frequently launched orbital small rocket, our HASTE rocket is progressing America’s hypersonic capabilities on suborbital missions, and our larger Neutron rocket is currently in development. From across the United States, Canada, and New Zealand, Rocket Lab designs and manufactures individual spacecraft components to entire satellites constellations for missions to Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars, and beyond.

Mission success for VICTUS HAZE! 🚀 We’ve officially completed the Space Force's primary mission which saw Rocket Lab build a high performance spacecraft, deliver rapid call-up launch on Electron, and conduct complex on-orbit rendezvous and proximity operations - all ahead of schedule. 🚀 Launch: Lifted off with just 16h 42m notice - the fastest response ever for a TacRS mission (beating previous record by 10 hours). ⏱️ Commissioning: Activated our Pioneer spacecraft in 38 hours (30 hours ahead of deadline). 🛰️ RPO Operations: Tracked, approached, and photographed the target satellite in under 59 hours (25 hours ahead of deadline).

Electron has been selected by NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration for three launches in 2027 to deploy its PolSIR and TSIS-2 Sun and Earth sciences missions. We've been delivering reliability, precise orbital accuracy, and on-demand launch for NASA missions for almost a decade - and we're ready to deliver that once again for PolSIR and TSIS-2 from Launch Complex 1 early next year. 🚀🚀🛰️🛰️For PolSIR, Electron will deploy a pair of satellites across two launches to LEO to study ice clouds at high altitudes in the tropics and sub-tropics: how they form, why they change throughout the day, and how much ice they contain. 🚀🛰️For TSIS-2, Electron will launch a single satellite to measure the Sun’s brightness at the top of Earth’s atmosphere. The data collected can be used by scientists to predict Earth’s ozone layer recovery or provide air quality forecasts.

Tactically responsive space launch 🤝 Commercial satellite with RPO capability Rocket Lab is the first and only company to deliver both for a Tactically Responsive Space (TacRS) mission by the United States Space Force and Space Systems Command with VICTUS HAZE. That means we designed and built the spacecraft, launched it on our own rocket, and now we're operating it on orbit. That's end-to-end space capability in action.

The Space Force called, and we launched. From call up to lift-off in just 16 hours 42 minutes Rocket Lab has made history - the fastest response time ever for a United States Space Force Tactically Responsive Space mission. Lifting off from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand at 10:19 pm NZT on June 19th, the mission shattered the previous TacRS record set by VICTUS NOX by more than 10 hours. The feat establishes a new global benchmark for rapid call-up space capabilities.
