𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗦 𝗔 𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘. 🇿🇦 𝘚𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘈𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘰𝘯. We created three. The Junior Springboks. The Springboks. The Blitzboks. Three different teams. Three generations. One standard of excellence. That doesn't happen by chance. It comes from a culture built on resilience, humility, leadership and an unwavering belief that South Africans belong on the biggest stage. That is something every South African can be proud of. And perhaps the best part... That same culture doesn't end on the rugby field. Every day through The Lekker Network, we meet South Africans building global businesses, leading international companies, solving complex problems and creating opportunities around the world. Different industries. Different countries. The same determination to make an impact. The trophies remind us what South Africans can achieve together. Our mission is to bring more of those exceptional South Africans together. Because South African excellence isn't confined to sport. It's part of who we are. 🇿🇦 Photo Credit: SuperSport Rugby

When we launched The Lekker Network in March 2025, we hoped it would become a place where South Africans around the world could genuinely help one another. Less than a year and a half later, the impact has stopped me in my tracks. Since launching our concierge service just a few months ago, the team has made: 861 unique member connections. And arranged 257 in-person meetups. We’ve also held 81 Boost Sessions. With around 10 South Africans in each Boost Session, that’s more than 800 real needs solved in real time. 800!! These aren’t just numbers. They’re someone finding a connection to open a door. A business owner meeting a new client. A family settling into a new country. A parent getting advice. A founder finding an investor. A South African realizing they’re not alone. The team has also hosted 91 Micro Meets in cities around the world, creating space for people who may never have met otherwise. That’s what community and belonging look like. I feel incredibly privileged to play a small part in something that’s changing lives every single day. None of this happens without an extraordinary team. They care deeply, move quickly, and aim to keep improving every week with one goal in mind: making membership better for every person who joins. But is it perfect? Far from it. There’s one thing we remind members of all the time. The Lekker Network is a gym, not a spa. Joining isn’t enough. You have to show up. Ask. Give. Introduce. Help. Participate. Because the people who put the most into a community almost always get the most back. These numbers aren’t proof of what we’ve built. They’re proof of what people can build when they choose to help one another. I often say that the greatest export South Africa has ever produced isn’t gold, diamonds or rugby players. It’s South Africans. Our people. The Lekker Network simply helps them find one another again. And that’s why I genuinely believe we’re only scratching the surface. This is only the beginning. So tell me… How can I help you?

A few months ago, we hosted 300 lekker South African’s at Lourensford, We've had 2 weeks to process what happened at The Lekker Summit. Here are our 5 biggest takeaways from hosting 300 South Africans at Lourensford: 1. South Africans crave intentional connection: The demand for this kind of gathering was overwhelming. What a lekker experience. 2. Vulnerability accelerates trust: In our Impact Groups, everyone was fully engaged with their group and didn’t hold anything back. 3. The diaspora wants to contribute: Nearly every conversation included: "How can I help South Africa from where I am?" People want pathways to give back. 4. Movement matters: Day 2's activities (padel, yoga, clay pigeon, wine tasting) created a different level of connection. Conversations that happen while moving or playing create a deeper sense of connection. 5. This is just the beginning: This summit was a foundation for everything that’s still to come. The energy, connections, and gees we experienced over those two days were electric. What were your takeaways if you were there? And if you weren't, what resonates most?

𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗗. 𝗨𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗣𝗣𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘. 🇿🇦 𝘕𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘴. Two weeks ago, I had surgery for a detached retina. For a short while, I've had to navigate life with no vision in my right eye. That experience has given me an even deeper appreciation for something most of us take for granted. Then there's Hein Wagner. Born blind. Sailed the Cape to Rio Yacht Race. Run the Antarctica Marathon. Completed the Ironman. Broken the World Blind Land Speed Record... twice. Built businesses. Inspired audiences across the world. And somehow, he's spent his life helping others see what they never noticed before. That's why I'm so excited to welcome Hein to The Lekker Network at Hotel Sky 🌊Cape Town : 28 July 🏙️ Johannesburg : 30 July His keynote isn't about blindness. It's about perspective. About courage. About discovering what's possible when you stop letting limitations define you. Then we'll continue the evening the Lekker way. Great conversations. Meaningful introductions. And the kind of relationships that can change everything. Come and experience the evening with us. 🇿🇦 Link to register in comments 👇🏼

Something absolutely blew my mind this week… Yesterday I sat down with Stefan Nieuwoudt from Re-Solve, one of our Corporate Members at The Lekker Network. We started talking about water. Not in the abstract. In numbers. Over the past 10 years, Re-Solve has helped save 80 BILLION litres of water through smarter infrastructure and better engineering. Eighty billion. That's a number that's almost impossible to picture. Stefan showed me something I'll never forget. Imagine placing 5,000-litre water tanks end to end. Those tanks would stretch 24,877 kilometres. Starting in Cape Town… Travelling through Africa...Crossing Europe.. Passing Magadan, the end of the world's longest road… And continuing another 2,490 kilometres into Alaska. Let that sink in... We often celebrate the companies making headlines. But some of the most remarkable businesses are quietly solving enormous problems behind the scenes. Re-Solve is about impact. And impact like this NEEDS to be shared. One of the many reasons I love spending time with members of The Lekker Network. Every conversation uncovers another South African company quietly building something world-class. Thanks, Stefan, for sharing the story. I won't be looking at a JoJo tank the same way again! #Resolve #WaterSecurity #Infrastructure #Engineering #Sustainability #Impact #SouthAfricanBusiness #TheLekkerNetwork #BuiltInSA
