As we celebrate the upcoming retirements of two extraordinary team members, Retail Systems Analyst Rick Collings and Director, Fuel Construction, Len Hitch, please join us in recognizing and thanking them for their dedication, expertise, and character, which have left a lasting mark on our company. Rick began his career with Allsup’s more than 37 years ago and has been an integral part of our store support team ever since. From serving as the primary programmer for point-of-sale cash registers to supporting retail operations at Yesway, Rick has been a behind-the-scenes force keeping our stores running smoothly. Whether ordering and maintaining critical communication systems like internet and phone services, troubleshooting pricing signage, or providing backup support for store-level issues, Rick has always been the steady, dependable expert we could count on. While his family resides in Clovis, NM, Rick routinely made the long commute to the Fort Worth office nearly every weekend, demonstrating a level of commitment that truly sets him apart. Len has defined his career through heart, wisdom, and an easy Southern drawl that made him instantly approachable. Over the 29 years he has served on our team, that approachability earned him the trust and admiration of many and often placed him at the center of solving the company’s most “unsolvable” challenges. Len began his journey as a technician and tank installer, capable of handling every aspect of fuel construction. As his career evolved, he skillfully managed expectations across vendors, regulators, operations, and ownership. While his technical and managerial abilities were second to none, what truly set Len apart was the grace, patience, and steady leadership he brought to even the most stressful moments. Rick and Len, thank you for the decades of service, institutional knowledge, and humanity you have shared with all of us. Your impact will be felt long after your last day, and your contributions have helped shape who we are today.
