This guide outlines key principles for building effective agents, from identifying the right use cases to designing orchestration patterns and guardrails. Some highlights: 🔍 When to consider agents Agents are best suited for workflows that involve: - Complex decision-making or exceptions - Heavy reliance on unstructured data - Brittle, hard-to-maintain rulesets 🧱 Core components Every agent system is built from: - A capable model (LLM) to reason and act - Tools/APIs to take real-world actions - Instructions that define behavior and constraints ⚙️ Design patterns Start with single-agent systems using a looped structure. - Progress to multi-agent orchestration (e.g., Manager and Decentralized patterns) only when complexity demands it. - Use prompt templates and instruction design to keep workflows flexible and maintainable. 🛡️ Guardrails are critical - Combine LLM-based classifiers, rule-based filters, tool risk assessments, and human intervention triggers to manage safety, data privacy, and reliability. 💬 Some thoughts on the current landscape: 1. Here’s what I’ve observed time and time again: 🚫 Mediocre mindsets sound like: “This won’t work,” or “That doesn’t apply to us.” ✅ Entrepreneurial mindsets approach high-value, complex challenges by asking, “What trade-offs are worth making to unlock the full potential of this opportunity?” Everything in the workplace is a decision—not just an execution task. There are easy wins, uphill battles, vanity projects designed for visibility, and then there are the hard, unglamorous things that deliver real, lasting value to customers. Too often, people get trapped in this kind of thinking: “If it’s too challenging, it’ll just create more work for me—and it doesn’t really help my OKRs anyway.” That mindset is the enemy of progress. A true meritocracy must actively eliminate this kind of short-term, self-preserving behavior—and instead build a culture that: * Rewards ownership of hard, meaningful problems * Prioritizes impact over optics * Seeks out the boldest opportunities to serve both internal and external customers—exceptionally well 🎯 The goal isn’t to do more. It’s to do what matters most.

Founders pitching live, real-time feedback from investors, and the kind of raw, honest conversations that actually move the needle. This is what early-stage should feel like. Huge shoutout to my guy Danil Kislinskiy — what he's building with Go Global World** is genuinely special. He's created one of the most founder-friendly, high-signal communities I've seen in the Bay Area. No fluff, no posturing — just real founders meeting real capital. The fact that he's doing this consistently, event after event, with this level of quality, says a lot about who he is as a builder and connector. Big thanks to Levan Kulijanishvili, Mariam Neparidze, and Tornike Nikvashvili at the Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency for co-hosting and opening up such a great space. I'll share a quick story about why I keep showing up: A while back, I sourced a deal through a GGW event — a company called Rhino, a premium ride-hailing platform for Latin America. I co-invested alongside Clapper Venture. Since our investment, Rhino has grown their revenue #10x. That's the kind of signal-to-noise ratio you get from this community. Great to be on the investor panel alongside Itamar Novick, Bryce Gilleland , and Patrick Bumpus — always good to exchange notes with fellow investors who actually show up for founders.
