Denise Holt shared thisNot sure how I missed this excellent post by my partner, Denis O. 🙌🏻🥳👏🏻 It is only 3 days later, and since this post, Seed IQ has now mastered 23 of the original 25 game environments in the ARC AGI 3 reasoning benchmark for AI systems with an overall score of 100%, while the highest score of deep learning agentic systems is less than 2%. The competition has been live for the past 4 months. Anyone can play and engage with the games directly through the ARC Prize API on their website. We do not show up on the leaderboard because the competition requires turning over your full codebase and open sourcing your IP, which for obvious reasons, we can’t/won’t do. Most of the past few months we have been focusing Seed IQ on quantum, but the past week, Denis went back to the ARC Prize challenge to see what has changed and put Seed IQ to the test on more of the challenges. 🥳Denise Holt shared thisThink about this. Frontier AI labs spend tens of billions or hundreds of millions of dollars building and training models across enormous GPU clusters. Then they spend more money running them, scaling inference, extending context windows, generating trajectories, and repeating attempts. After all of that compute, systems are celebrated for scoring only 2% on ARC AGI 3 environments that expose their embarassing inability to form and preserve a working model of what is happening, aka reasoning. A result worse than a margin of error or even random approach. Seed IQ completed all 139 levels across 19 ARC-AGI 3 environments. The hosted ARC Prize scorecard records a 100% result, 4,705 total actions, and zero resets. This was not produced by a frontier GPU cluster. It was produced by the same intelligence engine running on an M1 laptop. Literally a ducking toaster, compared with the infrastructure being assembled for largest foundational models. That comparison tells us two things. First, Seed IQ is not an ARC specific solver. ARC AGI 3 is just one workload presented to a general intelligence engine that can be composed against quantum execution, energy systems, financial problems, infrastructure control, scientific workloads, and other changing environments. We did not build 19 handcrafted game solvers. We connected the environments' streams, actions, constraints, state changes, and task structure into the engine, assigned responsibilities across the system, and let governed execution resolve them. Second, scale is not intelligence. More parameters, more GPUs, more tokens, and more sampled trajectories do not repair a weak computational cognitive structure. They make the same pattern matching karaoke machinery larger and more expensive. Seed IQ demonstrates that mathematics, structural representation, feedback, governed adaptation, and persistent state can defeat systems consuming vastly more compute while operating at a literal fraction (like a millionth) of their cost. The difference is not ten percent cheaper or twice as efficient. It is the difference between an edge device and an industrial GPU farm. Between only thousands of governed actions and millions of actions with blind stochastic search. Between resolving the real structure of a problem and repeatedly sampling around it in the hopium of finding the answer in some fixed frozen encoded space. So what exactly are folks buying with all of those GPUs and all those LLMs? For this class of problem, as in actual machine reasoning, the answer appears increasingly uncomfortable. Folks are spending extraordinary amounts of money compensating with brute force for an architectural limitation that brute force does not solve or remove. That is 159 out of 159 levels completed across 22 distinct interactive environments, with 5,712 actions, zero resets, and a verified score of 100%. Foundation models score approximately 1.8% on the benchmark. Huge disparity in machine reasoning capability. ARC-AGI 3 is not impossible for LLMs or DL models to pattern match. There are visual clues, recurring structures, spatial relationships, and regularities inside every environment. Intelligence must be able to recognize patterns. The challenge for DL is that these patterns do not remain static enough to be memorized, overfit or generalized with to find a solution. The environments contain changing state, hidden mechanics, delayed consequences, dynamic elements, adversarial counter-play, partial observability, traps, and long action horizons. A pattern that appears correct locally may fail several moves later. An action can change the environment itself, expose information that was previously hidden, alter what future actions are possible, or invalidate the strategy that produced the initial progress. This is where LLM and DL trips up. An LLM is strongest when the current input can be mapped onto a sufficiently similar pattern in its training distribution. Reinforcement learning (RL) can optimize its behavior against repeated reward signals, but it does not magically replace the underlying representation with a system capable of constructing and governing a persistent world model. Stacking RL on top of LLM/DL model still leaves the architecture dependent on learned correlations, compressed precedents, and policies optimized against distributions it has already encountered. ARC-AGI 3 environments continuously annihilate LLM or DL ability to effectively generalize and navigatethe environment. The AI agent has to distinguish stable structure from temporary appearance, infer mechanics that are never disclosed, remember interactions across time, reason about hidden state, anticipate counterplay, preserve a plan across long horizons, and revise that plan when the environment behaves differently than expected. That is the difference between reproducing patterns and using patterns to construct an operational understanding of reality. Seed IQ did that across all 22 environments.. And it did not run on a GPU cluster. There were no GPUs, no cloud inference fleet, no hardware acceleration, and no massive parallel compute stack. The entire run operated through a sequential Python script on an M1 MacBook with 32 GB of RAM. Literally a toaster. 22 environments. 159 levels. 5,712 actions. Still 100%. They may imagine some rules engine sitting outside an AI system and limiting what it is allowed to do. In Seed IQ, governance is part of execution and is the continuous regulation of how a system perceives, decides, acts, adapts, and preserves coherence while working toward human defined goals under changing conditions and uncertainty. The foundation comes from cybernetics, the study of how systems regulate themselves through feedback. A cybernetic system senses its condition or state, compares it with an objective, acts, observes the consequences, and adjusts its course as the environment changes. The central problem cybernetics aims to solve is how a system can continue moving torward fulfilling a goal while correcting for uncertainty, disturbance, and change without losing its identity. W. Ross Ashby developed this through the principles of regulation, stability, and requisite variety. Stafford Beer extended it into organizational viability by asking how autonomous local units could act independently while preserving the coherence and identity of the larger system. Seed IQ extends that same lineage of thought into distributed autonomous execution. A system must be able to change its behavior and internal organization without losing the coherence that keeps those changes meaningful. This becomes operational in Seed IQ AMAC, or Adaptive Multiagent Autonomous Control architecture. Distributed agents perceive, infer, decide, and act through shared structural priors, authority relationships, and viability conditions. Each agent maintains a local world model grounded in its own local stream of reality. But those models remain coupled through the dynamics of the system they help govern, creating a persistent distributed representation of the whole as it changes over time. This is 'computational mutualism'. There is zero direct agent to agent communication or direct consensus negotiation. Agents broadcast errors, constraints, and future beliefs and interpret them through shared dynamics and structural priors, making updates mutually observable across the system. Local competence and global coherence emerge together. Global coherence is not contained within any single agent or imposed by a centralized planner. It emerges through the continued interaction of local world models, shared dynamics, global policies, authority hierarchies, viability constraints, and feedback. The whole develops properties that no individual agent contains on its own, while governance keeps those properties aligned with human defined goals and the shared identity of the whole system. That is what 'governed' means in Seed IQ. It is the continuous organization of perception, inference, authority, action, adaptation, and morphogenesis across the executing system as a cohesive whole. #ai #seediq

Denise Holt shared this🔴 The dominant quantum roadmap has treated useful fault-tolerant quantum computing (FTQC) as a future hardware milestone. ▪️ The assumption has been that the industry needs more physical qubits, higher code distance, stronger error correction, and better logical-qubit protection before useful FTQC becomes possible at scale. That is the path most hardware companies are building toward, and it is why usable fault-tolerant compute is still generally described as still being years away. ➡️ Seed IQ demonstrates a new pathway. Instead of waiting for increased code distance to eventually make fault-tolerant compute possible, Seed IQ is capable of governing the full validity chain of quantum execution today. It does not only look at whether qubits are protected. It protects the encoded compute process as a whole, from the physical layer through logical operations, primitive composition, persistent encoded state, runtime checking, and committed result. That is the distinction that separates Seed IQ from every other company in the quantum industry. ▪️ Most current quantum roadmaps are focused on the first layers of the chain: physical qubits, logical qubits, and error correction. ▪️ Seed IQ operates across the full chain. It brings adaptive intelligence into the execution layer itself, continuously governing whether the compute process remains valid as it moves through the system. ➡️ This is the core of why our breakthrough is so significant. In our recent paper, (link to it is in the comments), AIX demonstrated strict FTQC (fault-tolerant quantum compute) on third-party hardware - rented public-access IBM QPUs - by governing the full validity chain of compute. ▪️ We did not achieve this by waiting for future hardware generations or by relying on the industry’s assumed (theoretical) code-distance timeline. ▪️ We achieved it through Seed IQ’s adaptive intelligence engine, which makes usable strict FTQC possible on quantum hardware now (not years from now). 🔸 That changes the industry timeline for enabling useful strict FTQC compute on any hardware that exists today. Denise Holt shared this🔴 Miklós Molnár wrote one of the clearest and most thoughtful conceptual translations I’ve seen of our Seed IQ quantum paper. He breaks down some of the hardest concepts in the paper — NISQ, FTQC, surface-code error correction, runtime admissibility, logical execution, chemistry workloads, and Seed IQ governance — in a way that makes the significance accessible without stripping away the seriousness of the claim. He captures the core distinction of Seed IQ beautifully: the breakthrough is not simply suppressing noise or cleaning up answers afterward, but governing the validity of the computation during runtime. 🔸 He clearly captures the core of our first-ever strict-FTQC achievement & resulting novel primitive compute pipeline. In his words: “The Chain, the Gates, & the Right to Trust the Result: Strict FTQC as a validity chain • At the bottom of the chain is the physical qubit • Above it is the logical qubit • Above that is error correction • Above that is the protected operation • Above that is the universal operational language • Above that is the fault-tolerant handling of the hard operations • Above that is the connection of the primitives • Above that is the persistent encoded register • Above that is runtime checking • And at the end is the committed result ➡️ Strict FTQC asks: did the full computational path remain all the way through in the protected, checkable, logical world? This is a hard question. Many quantum results may pass through one or two gates. But strict FTQC does not ask for one or two gates. It asks for a chain. • That is why something can be partially fault-tolerant and still not be strict FTQC. • There may be protected memory, but not a universal operation set • There may be good error correction, but no hard non-Clifford operation • There may be a separate T-gate demo, but no composition • There may be a strong number, but no runtime-verified committed result • There may be a wonderful quantum stunt, but still no bridge ➡️ What conditions must be met so that we are not merely talking about a quantum stunt, but about a real fault-tolerant computation regime? As he points out strict FTQC means that the system passes through a few fundamental gates. The four-gate strict-FTQC logic: ✅ The first gate asks: do we have a protected computational language? ✅ The second gate asks: do we bring in the hard operations in protected form, too? ✅ The third gate asks: does the protected state persist all the way through while we work with it? ✅ The fourth gate asks: does the system check during runtime whether the result is defensible. If any of these is missing, the result may still be important, it may be a serious demonstration, it may be partial fault tolerance, clever noise reduction, or a forward-looking experiment — but it is not the same category." 🙏 Miklós. One of the things that has emerged in the FTQC experiments at AIX Global Innovations, and in applying Seed IQ to quantum compute, is the beginning of a different way to think about quantum memory.. The starting point is the 'no cloning theorem'. Classical memory depends on copying state. A bit pattern can be copied, backed up, compared, restored, moved, and reloaded. Quantum mechanics removes that primitive for unknown states. An arbitrary unknown quantum state cannot be copied into a second independent identical state (Wootters and Zurek, 1982; Dieks, 1982). The forbidden universal operation is: |ψ⟩|0⟩ → |ψ⟩|ψ⟩ for every unknown |ψ⟩. Once that primitive is not available, quantum memory stops being a storage problem and potentially becomes a 'continuity' problem. The question is no longer 'Where do I keep another copy?' It becomes 'How do I preserve the logical evolution of the state while the physical substrate continues to evolve?' That leads to a different primitive: (ρᴸ, Mₜ) → (ρᴸ′, Mₜ₊₁) ρᴸ is the protected logical quantum state. Mₜ is the evolving side memory- syndrome history, branch record, Pauli frame, restore debt, admissibility state, and commit history. The governed encoded register carries the payload. Governance ancillas create the syndrome surface. The Seed IQ runtime uses that surface as part of a governed execution loop, where the side memory records what happened, which frame applies, which branch remains admissible, what restore path is owed, and when the computation can commit. Teleportation gives the register a movement primitive. A Bell measurement produces classical correction bits, the source is measured out, and the destination becomes the corrected continuation (Bennett et al., 1993; Gottesman and Chuang, 1999). Pauli-frame tracking gives the runtime its interpretation memory (Knill, 2005). Then dissipative dynamics gives the memory its return path. The GKLS / Lindblad form (Gorini et al., 1976; Lindblad, 1976): ∂ρ/∂t = −i[H,ρ] + Σₖ(LₖρLₖ† − ½{Lₖ†Lₖ,ρ}) In ordinary quantum hardware language, dissipation is decay. In Seed IQ, engineered dissipation becomes restorative dynamics. The Lₖ channels damp leakage, suppress inadmissible motion, restore stabilizer compatible structure, and pull the register back toward the protected logical manifold (Diehl et al., 2008; Verstraete et al., 2009; Mirrahimi et al., 2014; Leghtas et al., 2015; Reiter et al., 2017). Memory becomes a coupled dynamical system. The logical register carries the quantum payload. The side memory carries the execution context. Dissipative dynamics continuously steers the combined system toward admissible evolution. The 'no cloning theorem' closed the door on copying quantum states.. Denise Holt reacted on thisDenise Holt reacted on thisI have been very busy with quantum lately, building enterpirse level tools for it and doing enough chemistry with quantum compute to tell you the exact chemical composition of the upper layers of Jupiter's atmosphere.. But I wanted to do something different for a change, so I decided to integrate another ARC AGI 3 environment with AIX's Seed IQ engine, namely TN36 game env. Same engine that stabilizes quantum compute into governed FTQC regimes is used to solve ARC AGI 3 challenges. Seed IQ is not an LLM or GPT.. There is no code autogenerated on the fly, no prompt producing a solver, and no LLM model harness with a gazillion pseudo agents writing executable scripts. Seed IQ cannot generate new code for itself, yet. So for now, I manually integrate each specific ARC AGI 3 environment API with the Seed IQ engine, as each environment is different. That means hooking in all available input streams and controls into Seed IQ and defining the operational boundarie that allow the engine to perceive, coordinate, adapt, and execute across the environment. I allocate agents to particular task domains like control or perception, test the connection to the environment, and then let AMAC, or Seed IQ distributed inference engine, take over. From that point forward, Seed IQ solves the environment on its own, local or remote. It has now been quite some time since the original AIX Seed IQ ARC AGI 3 result has been published, and so far nobody has been able to demonstratrate this level of performance. More importantly, nobody has been able to demonstrate that they can beat ARC AGI while cheating.. Also Greg is still busy ramping up his favorite LLMs toward a margin of error result around 2%, while most of the foundational models score below that.. So much for actual LLM/GenAI reasoning. Seed IQ has now fully completed all 18 ARC-AGI 3 environments, with a published score of 100% across 4,415 actions. The best level outperforms the best human performance baseline by x7. Publishing the scorecard requires replaying all the environments from scratch with all the updates. No to mention ARC Prize has been contnuosly and relentlessly tightening the environments, introducing hidden states, counter replay mechanisms, and online behavior that makes the offline game increasingly unrepresentative of the actual online evaluation for the same env. But Seed IQ does not depend on overfitting on the past or a Deep Learning way of producing a solution by pattern matching against static manifolds. It acts and learns in real time and remains grounded in the live environment, while adapting and continuously evaluating its execution trajectory as conditions change. 18/18 environment wins. I allocate agents to particular task domains like control or perception, test the connection to the environment, and then let AMAC, or Seed IQ distributed inference engine, take over. From that point forward, Seed IQ solves the environment on its own, local or remote. It has now been quite some time since the original AIX Seed IQ ARC AGI 3 result has been published, and so far nobody has been able to demonstratrate this level of performance. More importantly, nobody has been able to demonstrate that they can beat ARC AGI while cheating.. Also Greg is still busy ramping up his favorite LLMs toward a margin of error result around 2%, while most of the foundational models score below that.. So much for actual LLM/GenAI reasoning. Seed IQ has now fully completed all 18 ARC-AGI 3 environments, with a published score of 100% across 4,415 actions. The best level outperforms the best human performance baseline by x7. Publishing the scorecard requires replaying all the environments from scratch with all the updates. No to mention ARC Prize has been contnuosly and relentlessly tightening the environments, introducing hidden states, counter replay mechanisms, and online behavior that makes the offline game increasingly unrepresentative of the actual online evaluation for the same env. But Seed IQ does not depend on overfitting on the past or a Deep Learning way of producing a solution by pattern matching against static manifolds. It acts and learns in real time and remains grounded in the live environment, while adapting and continuously evaluating its execution trajectory as conditions change. 18/18 environment wins. Still 100% score. No LLMs. No GPUs. No code written on the fly. Just active inference and governed execution. AIX Global #ai #seediq #cybernesis

This paper reports the first end-to-end fault-tolerant quantum computing stack to clear all four strict-FTQC requirements simultaneously on commodity superconducting NISQ silicon, rented through standard IBM Quantum cloud subscription with no purpose-built research machine, no custom decoder, and no magic-state distillation factory. The four requirements: (i) surface-code quantum error correction at distance d≥3 with logical-error rate below the unencoded baseline; (ii) a universal Clifford+T gate set executed via magic-state injection, with no arbitrary angle physical rotation carrying non-Clifford content on the wire (the algorithm-determined non-Clifford angle never fires on the silicon; the native RZ(θphys) on Heron fires only at Clifford-multiple angles required to compose H, S, T); (iii) heterogeneous primitive composition (teleportation, lattice-surgery CNOT, T-gate, logical memory) on a persistent encoded register; and (iv) runtime admissibility verification on every committed result. All five chips, five chemistry workloads spanning four molecules, and twenty-two governed runs in this paper were executed on the same primitive engine without architectural change.
The architectural shift that makes this work on today’s hardware is the d=1 inversion: a 150-qubit governed encoded register held at substrate distance d=1 on the chip’s physical qubits, with logical fidelity preserved by Seed IQ execution governance over the encoded layer rather than by a larger code distance. Where the standard surface-code paradigm grows physical d quadratically to drive the logical-error rate down...Seed IQ governance acts as an operational substitute for code distance: it delivers the equivalent error-rate reduction in software while leaving the per-gate channel fidelity available for T-gate injection and Clifford operations intact.
The result: the four strict-FTQC requirements hold simultaneously at approximately one physical qubit per logical qubit.Other authors -

This article by David Gardner in WRAL Techwire presents some really interesting insights into why AI technology should have some sort of regulation governing its usage. He touches on something that I’m most concerned about with generative AI and that’s the dissemination of misinformation. Obviously “fake news” is nothing new, ever since the beginning of the written word people have made false claims (I’m sure even the town crier of yore had some credibility issues.) But with the advent of social media, the ability to spread and consume fake news is at an all time hight. And now with AI the ability to distinguish what is fake and what is real becomes more and more difficult. I already see people on social media sharing post after post of AI produced content totally convinced that it’s real. I used to be able to sniff out a fake pretty easily, but now AI is getting so good, I’m starting to question my own AI radar. I’ve gotten to the point where if something is too good to be true I automatically assume it’s AI until proven real. For the most part these AI images or videos are pretty tame, just a fake funny video of someone’s cat doing cartwheels (aka catwheels) or a person doing something impossibly amazing (like entering their login password correctly first try) . But what happens when these videos turn to the world of politics or social issues? What happens when someone makes an AI video of some politician in a compromising situation or a group of activists breaking the law? Could AI be used to sway an entire political movement? Are our leaders going to be chosen simply by who has the best AI? Or on the flip side, what if the video of that politician in a compromising situation is in fact real? Can someone now claim that it was a fake video to get out of trouble? Is “it was AI” the new “I was hacked”? Obviously regulation won’t solve all these problems but it can be a start to at least address some of these issues before they get too out of hand.
