“Eugene and I earned our undergraduate degrees and joined Garmin at the same time. We've collaborated on many different projects, but my understanding of and respect for Eugene's abilities was most significantly influenced by our mutual decision to enroll in the KU MBA program. We coordinated class schedules, collaborated on many projects, frequently studied as partners, shared the journey and earned our degrees together. It was challenging for me to balance full time employment with family responsibilities while pursuing a graduate degree in the evenings. I quickly learned that Eugene's work ethic is second to none and one important reason I so valued the opportunity to work with him was that fact that he always pushed me to be better and do more. My graduate studies would not have been as successful without his support and encouragement; he always had my back and never let me down. Eugene is very bright and driven, with a keen understanding of engineering and technology, but he is also a pleasure to work with. No matter what challenges I confront in the future, Eugene will always be on the short list of those I want on my team. His track record speaks for itself, but take it from a person who has seen him at his best and worst, Eugene is truly exceptional.”

At NVIDIA's GTC 2026, when Jensen Huang opened the keynote with with, “Let me remind you, this is a Tech Conference,” he wasn’t making a joke (though he does bring in some good humor in his keynotes!). He was setting the tone for what the future looks like with AI. We’ve moved decisively from AI experimentation to AI industrialization. And that shift requires organizations to rebuild the stack to support AI as a default layer of computing. A few things that stood out: • The move to AI factories is real. Intelligence is becoming a production output, where throughput, latency, and efficiency matter as much as model quality • With Blackwell and Vera Rubin, compute is the strategic control point • The ~$1T demand signal reflects how aggressively enterprises are re-architecting around accelerated compute • The ecosystem partnerships (infra, energy, enterprise platforms) highlight a constraint we don’t talk about enough: AI at scale is a physical systems problem: power, cooling, networking, and deployment • And the deeper shift is a move from deterministic software to continuous, model-driven inference systems What this means for leaders: AI is becoming core infrastructure. The advantage won’t come from access to models. It will come from how effectively you integrate, scale, and operationalize AI across your stack: data, compute, and applications. If you’re still asking, “Where can AI help?” It’s time to pivot to, “What does our architecture look like if AI is the default?”
