Publications

  • Solution to Vehicle Routing Problem using Genetic Algorithms

International Journal of Innovative Technology and Research

Vehicle routing problem is one of the most challenging areas of research in the field of
combinatorial research. This problem is designing the optimal set of routes for the fleet of vehicles in order to serve a given set of customers. Our project is mainly concerned about finding the optimized path between source and destination having several intermediate stages.

Projects

  • DHCP Client Simulator

In this project, we run a python script that will simulate and obtain an IP address to a host from an address pool that is configured on the DHCP Server in the network and remove an address that is not required for a host on a DHCP Server on a Cisco 3200 Series Router. Used GNS3 to simulate the Routing environment and simulated the client PC in Debian 7 Operating system with Virtual Box. Configured a DHCP Server in the network to perform IP address allocations and removals.

  • Subnet Calculator

Given an IP Address and a subnet mask related to that address, This program calculates the Network address, Broadcast address, number of Subnets and number of hosts each subnet can hold. This Project is done in Python.

  • Secure FILE TRANSFER PROTOCOL in UDP using Stop & Wait ARQ Protocol

This Project is used to transfer the files reliable between in Client and Server, used Stop and Wait ARQ Protocol in which server just transfers one frame at a time and waits for the acknowledgement from the client, if the acknowledgement is received transfers the next frame, otherwise retransmits the frame for which acknowledgement is not received. This project is done using C Language.

  • IRC application

Developed a chatting application using C for exchanging text messages between different users. Used TCP/IP Sockets API for implementing in C language. Used multi-threading to implement one - many and many - many usages of the application.

  • Telnet Client to Automate basic tasks in Networks

    -

The program which is written in Python establishes the TELNET sessions with multiple network devices using their IP address provided by the user in the form of a text file with each IP address separated by a newline and runs the configuration script on the devices simultaneously using multi-threading and catches any error that the Router or a Switch throws and reports it to the user on the screen.

  • Secure Group Key Management in Mobile Ad-hoc Network

    -

In this project, we have proposed a key management scheme in grouped network structure in which group leader of a group is randomly shifted, our scheme of key management doesn't require any trusted third party. The group leader is responsible to generate and distribute id's and public-private key pair to nodes. This method reduces the quantity of keys to distribute among the nodes.
