📄 Reviewing nearly 900,000 documents with limited attorney bandwidth and tight budgets is a familiar challenge for today’s #eDiscovery teams. In one matter where #LegalTech professionals had to navigate budgets, timelines, and accuracy standards, a low-richness corpus and cost constraints made traditional review approaches impractical, without sacrificing defensibility. The challenges included: 1️⃣ A corpus of 891,527 documents with only ~4% relevance. 2️⃣ Single-attorney bandwidth limiting active learning workflows. 3️⃣ GenAI costs that made full-population analysis unrealistic. 4️⃣ A high volume of “Borderline” documents requiring careful handling. HaystackID® experts stepped in with a hybrid workflow that blended #GenAI, technology-assisted review (TAR), and conceptual analytics under attorney oversight. 💡 By using TAR to prioritize likely relevant material, our team reduced GenAI processing by more than 90%, from over 748,000 eligible documents to just 54,380. This targeted approach preserved accuracy while dramatically lowering review costs. The final production achieved 90.00% precision and 95.58% recall, validated through rigorous statistical sampling.
