An autonomous agent builds your app, puts up ads, and iterates. Polsia, "AI slop" spelled backwards. Funny not funny? Eh kinda funny. Threw $100 at it to see what happens. One founder, Ben Broca, no employees, 1,000+ companies on the platform, $1M ARR reached from $100K in a couple weeks. $50/month plus 20% rev share. Most businesses on the platform are earning close to nothing, for now at least. The dashboard is an ASCII slot machine: revenue and visitors up front, numbers updating in real time. My guess is most of that $1M is people pulling the lever, not customer revenue flowing through the businesses Polsia builds. Every time someone spins up a new company, the platform auto-tweets it, likely driving more traffic to Polsia than the ads it generates for its customers. The platform also markets itself through its own output. The ad performance on my experiment has solid early metrics, high CTR and low CPC. No purchases yet. The core product just isn't good. The real question is whether autonomous agents can build viable products and create: - a world where infinite products are created, validated, and the good ones rise to the top - a world where infinite slop exists, maximum grift marketing, competition drives more slop Nobody is buying what these companies are selling. Right now the output is worse than a single Lovable session. But after 1000 iterations? Either way, the "founders" are buying the feeling of having built a business, not just a product like every other vibe code tool. The same impulse that drove me to build GeoCities sites in 1996 or hack together games in Visual Basic is what's pulling people to Polsia in 2026. The technology changed completely. The desire to make something other people might want, even something bad, didn't. Stewart Brand's Whole Earth Catalog (60's) gave a generation the feeling that they could build their own world. Back-to-land movement, but also cybernetics, Buckminster Fuller, early computing. Jobs called it "Google in paperback form, 35 years before Google." When Brand was done, he shut it down and gave the profits away at a party. The magic wasn't the products listed, it was the permission to imagine yourself as someone who makes things. Brand gave you the tools and trusted you to figure it out. Polsia gives you a dopamine dashboard and takes 20%. We're not at the future where software is built, maintained, and supported 100% by agents. But Polsia shows the shape of it more clearly than anything else, because it's trying to do the whole thing rather than optimizing one piece. With feedback loops from real customers and taste from humans in the loop, this dream may become reality. The gap between "possible for hackers" and "accessible for everyone" always closes. Polsia might not be the company that gets us there, but it is for sure the most interesting $100 I've spent this year and wildly interesting. Big ups.
