Left with more than just a good photo. 🫶🏽 David dropped a line during his talk that’s sticking with me: don’t run from the AI wave 🌊, and don’t paddle into it blind either. Learn how to surf it. 🏄🏻♀️ That’s exactly where we are right now. The wave isn’t optional. Balance is. Good people, good conversation, and yet another reminder of why I love my Houston venture and startup community. 🔥 #AI #EnergyInnovation #VentureCapital #HoustonInnovation

Mark Leonard liked thisMark Leonard liked thisWith the 2026 World Cup buzz from the United States as one of the host countries, and looking ahead to the 2028 Lo Angeles Olympics in my hometown, I am excited to moderate the "Trending Employment Law Topics in the Olympics" webinar on Friday, July 31, 2026. I take pride in developing and organizing the most impactful and topical educational programs. As one of a few practicing attorneys who are also on the faculty of both USC Gould School of Law and University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law, I am proud to bring both law schools together for the capstone program for this "Rivals United" Executive Education Webinar Series. I will be speaking with Lupe Valencia, the Senior Managing Counsel for Employment Law at LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games and Jibit Cinar, my colleague on the faculty at USC Gould School of Law and a plaintiff's employment attorney. We will examine emerging employment law issues within the Olympic movement, including whether elite athletes should be classified as employees and what that would mean for wages, benefits, and collective bargaining rights. Building and managing a diverse and inclusive global workforce for the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics and Paralympics presents unique challenges and opportunities. Thus, we will also explore labor and workplace issues connected to hosting the Games, including working conditions for construction, event, and support staff. From obtaining non-immigrant visas for international athletes, to recruiting talent from the Los Angeles region and globally who will support the various sports and events, successful workforce planning on a global stage requires strategic leadership and management skills that employment attorneys and human resources professionals can learn from. Mark Leonard liked thisMark Leonard liked thisToday we're announcing DYNAGENTIC. The name is two words fused into one: 𝐃𝐲𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜, the catalyst for change, and 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜, the capacity for independent action. Most companies have one or the other. Real transformation happens where they converge. In 2010, I helped build the first pure-play Big Data consulting company in the industry. We took Think Big Analytics from a handful of people to thousands, across dozens of countries, without losing the culture that made it work in the first place. That's the thing I'm proudest of from that era. We're doing it again. Most enterprises we talk to have already tasted success: an exec picks up a frontier model license, builds an agent for themselves, and their individual output goes through the roof. That's not the hard part anymore. The hard part is agents interacting with other agents across the business: updating systems, taking actions, making decisions without a human in every loop. That's not a licensing problem. It's an architecture problem. We call the space between individual wins and real enterprise transformation the Agentic Gap, and closing it is why we're building Dynagentic. Our methodology, Think Big, Train, Build, Support, isn't a project with a finish line. It's a loop. Our logo isn't static, it's designed as connected, interacting motion: our four services moving together, in sync with each customer's business goals. We don't hand you a solution and walk away. We co-build with your team from day one, so the intelligence gains are native, not bolted on. That's what compounds into velocity: not a single win, but ROI that keeps expanding across the actual business. We're also opening the doors on this in person. Our first public Dynagentic Academy cohort runs July 14-16 in Salt Lake City. If you want to close your own Agentic Gap, this is the fastest way in. More soon. If you're an enterprise leader staring at your own Agentic Gap, or a builder who wants to work on the hardest problems in this space, let's talk. #AgenticAI #Dynagentic #AgenticGap #AIStrategy #EnterpriseAI

In a recent decision, the California Supreme Court held that the 30-day arbitration fee payment rule is not preempted by the Federal Arbitration Act, but, crucially, it cannot be applied in a rigid, automatic fashion.
