A letter for someone running a business tonight. Open when you hit your first revenue milestone. Hey there, Do you remember the moment it became real? For me it was the first time we deposited customer checks into our business bank account. Not the day we signed the papers, not the day we got the keys. The deposit. Up until that point it had all been due diligence, feasibility studies, and risk assessments. Numbers on spreadsheets that represented a future we were betting on but couldn't quite see yet. And then someone paid us. For work our team did. And we deposited that money into an account with our name on it. Maybe your moment looked different. Maybe it was your first dollar on a platform you built yourself. Your first client who found you without a referral. Your first Etsy order. Your first $10K month. Your first $1M year. The number doesn't matter as much as what it represents. Someone valued what you built enough to pay for it. It's ok to stop and feel that for a second. Not the next milestone. Not the next number you're already chasing. This is not a pit stop on the way to a real number.
