The latest Indeed Hiring Lab report provides a clear view of what hiring might look like in 2026: consistent demand but still a tough market for high-volume roles. A few takeaways that stood out: ➡️ Job openings are expected to level off rather than surge next year. ➡️ The talent pool is unlikely to expand significantly, even with a slight rise in unemployment. ➡️ Some sectors, especially healthcare, continue to show strong demand, while others remain slower. ➡️ Smaller and mid-sized metros are seeing more stable posting activity than the big coastal markets. For teams engaged in high-volume hiring, this means remaining focused on efficiency, targeting the right markets, and using data to optimize the impact of every dollar spent on job ads.
