The SiC industry is in a correction. Utilization rates at ~50% upstream, prices falling on 6-inch substrates, and everyone asking: did we overbuild? My take: the capacity isn't the problem. The lack of differentiation is. When everyone races to add 6-inch capacity for the same automotive power module designs, you get a commodity cycle. That's exactly what's happening. The companies that will emerge stronger are the ones investing in platform transitions -- 200mm, 300mm -- and targeting applications where SiC's thermal and efficiency advantages actually justify the cost premium. EVs are important, but they're not the only story. AI datacenter power, aerospace, defense, industrial drives -- these markets reward performance, not just price. Running a SiC business through a downturn means making hard choices about where to invest R&D dollars. I've been through this before -- we killed a legacy product line to redirect resources toward 150mm and 200mm wafers. It was painful. It also delivered 600% revenue growth. Overcapacity is temporary.
