  • Three-dimensional mapping using disparate visual datasets

    Issued US20230351690A1

A three-dimensional (3D) mapping system can be configured to generate a 3D map of a real-world environment using annotation of large image data sets, in which terrestrial imagery can be programmatically labeled with accurate labels using remotely sensed overhead image data. The 3D mapping system can implement photogrammetry to create a point cloud. Each pixel in the point cloud can be classified based on a consensus of each frame. The point cloud can be co-registered to a remotely sensed…

The 3D mapping system can implement photogrammetry to create a point cloud. Each pixel in the point cloud can be classified based on a consensus of each frame. The point cloud can be co-registered to a remotely sensed reference dataset to provide precise spatial coordinates for each pixel. Different patches of point clouds can be stitched together to provide a complete 3D map for a given area, such as a downtown area of a city.

  • Methods and systems for connecting a social network to a geospatial data repository

    Filed US10042862B2

Summary: the methods cover applications where users can take data from a repository (contributed by other users) to create maps. The invention covers applications accepting data from a users, the linking of that data to the user, allowing that data to be searched and/or combined with data from other users to create maps and analysis. The patent also covers the key-value pair object store used to manage user data. In addition the patent covers a graph based approach for intelligently…

  • System and method for analyzing the structure of logical networks

    Issued US 7,765,319

Summary: the method covers a variety of algorithmic approaches for analyzing geographic aspects of networks. The algorithmic approaches are geared towards identifying the location of critical nodes and links in the network, potential bottlenecks and simulating the impact of failures in these locations. The primary method used in these analyses is converting networks to grids and using various algebraic and spatial techniques to create surfaces.

  • System and method for web enabled geo-analytics and image processing

    Filed US 11/898,198

Summary: the method covers techniques for management and analysis of geospatial data using image processing techniques. Commonly called “heat mapping”, this technique covers loading vector data and the rasterization of that data for a variety of spatial analyses in a browser based environment. In addition to static “heat mapping” the patent covers dynamic heat mapping based on zoom level and/or temporal attributes, as well as additional map algebra techniques such as intersection, addition…
