Back from another great annual Pavilion GTM event! Three days, 800 people, wall-to-wall eating, sleeping, and breathing AI! The funny thing was, the most common theme of every conversation wasn't about AI at all. It was about people. SaaS and AI companies seem to be coming to terms with the idea that two scary, old, boring words— change management —are actually the most important barrier to their success and potentially their clients' greatest organizational challenge. Think about it. Failed adoption is the huge risk factor hanging over every new technology. The promise of AI is there, but if companies can't get their teams to actually use it effectively, they won't see any ROI. The result? Broken promises, skepticism, and a reluctance to even consider more new things while they're still trying to figure out the last new thing. Meanwhile, a sea of disruption is happening in all of their industries and in the economy. This is a moment of massive change, but companies are stuck because they can’t figure out how to drive the outcome. The lesson here is simple: if you’re a SaaS or AI company, you can’t just be a tool. You have to be a change management partner or at least your Sales and CS teams have to act the part. Without that, you don't have the leverage to drive the outcome or build the confidence with the customer to close the deal. This learning has pushed us at Insight Revenue to make this a central focus of our programs for our SaaS, AI and Tech clients. We’re doing a body of research now on how to improve the adoption of AI in GTM, to teach ICs and managers how to bring in stepwise change that aligns strategy, tools, tech, and skills. We will be publishing our first set of recommendations on how to solve the adoption problem for AI in GTM in the coming weeks, and we'll be having a series of webinars and events on the topic as well to share and learn to improve our solutions and continue to gather the best ideas from the most innovative people in the space. We will also be building new training and coaching modules into our programs to support this journey. Keen to hear the reaction.
