This recognition carries even greater meaning given what our teams have navigated over the past year. It has been a true period of transition for Hooters working through challenges of the past year and building for the future ahead. Through it all, our teams stayed grounded, focused, and committed to what matters most: operational excellence and delivering a great guest experience every single day. What stands out most is how our people responded. Across the organization, leaders leaned in with resilience and clarity. Our restaurant teams have showed up shift after shift with pride. Our field leaders stepped up to relentlessly focus on execution and hospitality. Our support center partners worked behind the scenes to support and move the business forward. All with the goal of keeping the guest and team members at the center of every decision, every day. This recognition is not about one individual, it reflects a collective effort by people who chose to lead, stay disciplined, and push forward when it mattered most. I’m incredibly grateful to be part of this team and proud of how we’ve come through this chapter, more focused, and aligned around the path ahead. Hosting FIFA World Cup 2026™ - Canada, Mexico and the United States matches here was the vision from the beginning, and it has been one of the proudest moments in this stadium's history. Hundreds of thousands of fans from around the world walked through our doors and experienced everything that makes this building special, and that experience was recognized when Mercedes-Benz Stadium was named the best World Cup venue by both The New York Times and USA Today. None of it would have been possible without our partner, Mercedes-Benz USA. If you looked closely, their presence never truly left the building, you just had to look up 🙂. There's a kind of judgment that only comes from having sat on both sides of the franchise table. On one side, you learn what it means to be an operator, signing personally for debt, managing cash when margins are tight, and living with the consequences of system decisions that look clean at headquarters but strain at the unit level. On the other, you learn what it means to steward the whole, balancing thousands of independent businesses against brand consistency, allocating capital where every dollar has competing claims, and designing governance that enables performance rather than constrains it. Most leaders know one side deeply. Fewer have lived both. Add a second dimension, single-brand depth 𝘢𝘯𝘥 multi-brand breadth, and the complexity multiplies. You are no longer just executing one playbook; you are cross-referencing a library of them. Those who navigate these dualities develop a different instinct. They can sense when a standard is load-bearing versus symbolic. They recognize that alignment failures aren't communication problems: they're economics, trust, and system-design problems. The work becomes one of synthesis. Rather than imposing a single template everywhere, you build shared foundations that scale, while selecting the specific plays that fit the moment and preserve what makes each brand distinctive. In complex systems, value isn't created by uniformity. It's created by architecture that earns trust and allows the enterprise to compound.
