Instructors lead and support participants during rotations, setting the tone for our key 100 Elk pillars: “revealing the possibilities within” and “feeling loved and valued”. Instructors teach and facilitate activities based on the training they receive and the areas they feel confident facilitating. Instructors model professionalism and will engage with teachers and chaperones during programs. Instructors often work in teams and must model teamwork and support one another.

Live and demonstrate a commitment to the Christian Science principles of integrity, compassion, and respect; be loving in actions towards others
At least 18 years old; high school graduate or equivalent at time of employment
Willingness to uphold high moral and ethical standards
Enthusiasm for working with young people with love, patience, and consistency
Ability to flexibly support in a variety of areas as needs arise
Ability to participate in outdoor adventure and recreational activities
Youth program leadership experience preferred
Camp or outdoor education experience preferred
Excellent communication and organizational skills
First Aid/CPR certification required (100 Elk can provide training/certification)
