Assistant Controller

Assistant Fund Controller opportunity with a $10B+ alternative asset manager focused on Private Equity, Special Situations, and Distressed Investing.

COMPENSATION

Base Salary: $175,000 – $225,000

Bonus: 10% – 30%

Compensation commensurate with experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with the CFO and finance leadership team to design, implement, and enhance scalable accounting infrastructure, controls, and reporting processes across management company and fund entities.
• Oversee fund accounting activities, including capital activity, management fees, carried interest allocations, expense allocations, and quarterly investor reporting.
• Coordinate valuation processes across portfolio investments, working closely with investment professionals and third-party valuation providers to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Support portfolio analytics and performance measurement initiatives, including fund-level performance reporting, attribution analysis, and investment monitoring.
• Lead the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Manage year-end audits and tax reporting processes for fund and management company entities, coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve complex accounting, valuation, and reporting issues across multiple investment vehicles.
• Maintain and enhance budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A processes, providing actionable insights to senior management and firm leadership.
• Collaborate with investor relations, operations, compliance, and investment teams to ensure accurate and consistent financial and performance reporting.
