Bread Baker

The Bread Chic is looking for an experienced, hardworking baker to join our overnight production team. We specialize in artisan San Francisco-style sourdough, handmade pastries, and high-quality baked goods made from scratch with organic and locally sourced ingredients.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on position for someone who thrives in an early morning bakery environment and takes pride in consistency, quality, and teamwork.

• Overnight/Early Morning Shift
• Current start time: 12:00 AM
• Transitioning to a later start time of 2:00 AM

• Bake all sourdough breads for retail, wholesale, and farmers markets
• Bake muffins, scones, pies, cookies, and other pastry items
• Bake cinnamon breads and pretzels
• Maintain consistent quality, bake times, and presentation standards
• Coordinate production with other bakers, front of house teams, and market staff
• Help organize daily bake flow for multiple locations and wholesale accounts
• Assist with oven management, timing, and production efficiency
• Keep bakery stations clean, organized, and food-safe
• Work collaboratively with the production team to hit daily goals

• Professional baking experience preferred
• Experience with artisan bread and sourdough strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
• Strong time management and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a high-volume production environment
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for long periods
• Passion for quality food, hospitality, and teamwork
