About the Role:

The Director, FinOps Services Sales (Cloud & AI) will drive revenue growth by leading sales strategy, pipeline development, and client acquisition for Anglepoint's Cloud FinOps solutions and services. This role helps organizations optimize cloud spend, strengthen financial accountability, and maximize the business value of investments across AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and emerging AI platforms.


The ideal candidate brings enterprise sales leadership experience along with a strong understanding of cloud economics, FinOps practices, cloud cost optimization, and technology consulting services. You will partner closely with delivery, marketing, alliances, and executive leadership to expand Anglepoint's market presence and achieve revenue targets.


As the “Director, FinOps Sales (Cloud & AI)” you will:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed annual revenue and profitability targets.
  • Build, manage, and advance a pipeline of Cloud FinOps opportunities across enterprise and mid-market accounts.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, Cloud Center of Excellence leaders, Procurement, and IT Finance teams.
  • Identify and pursue new-logo opportunities while expanding relationships within existing customer accounts.
  • Accurately forecast revenue, bookings, and pipeline performance using Salesforce or a comparable CRM.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders on cloud financial management, cost optimization, governance, forecasting, chargeback/showback, and cloud consumption optimization.
  • Facilitate executive-level discussions on cloud transformation, cloud economics, operational efficiency, and the business value of FinOps.
  • Develop compelling business cases and ROI analyses for prospective customers.
  • Position managed services, consulting services, and technology solutions that support clients at varying levels of FinOps maturity.
  • Collaborate with solution architects and delivery teams to create customer-specific proposals and statements of work.
  • Lead proposal development, contract negotiations, and deal-closing activities.
  • Represent Anglepoint at industry conferences, FinOps Foundation events, and cloud-focused forums.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to influence service development and go-to-market strategy.
  • Contribute thought leadership related to FinOps best practices and cloud financial management.


Who you are:

  • You have 8+ years of enterprise technology sales experience, including at least 3 years focused on cloud, FinOps, ITAM, SaaS, managed services, or consulting services.
  • You have a proven record of meeting or exceeding significant annual bookings targets, ideally in the $3M-$10M+ range.
  • You are experienced in selling to C-level executives and senior technology and finance leaders.
  • You have successfully managed complex, consultative, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from prospecting through close.
  • You understand cloud platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, as well as the financial and operational considerations associated with cloud consumption.
  • You bring strong strategic account planning, executive communication, financial acumen, negotiation, pipeline management, forecasting, and presentation skills.
  • You are comfortable working cross-functionally with delivery, marketing, alliances, and executive leadership in a consulting or professional services environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling FinOps consulting, cloud managed services, cloud optimization platforms, or IT financial management solutions.
  • Familiarity with FinOps Foundation frameworks and FinOps maturity models.
  • Knowledge of cloud cost management tools such as Apptio Cloudability, VMware CloudHealth, Flexera One, Harness, ProsperOps, Spot, or similar platforms.
  • Experience in consulting or professional services sales environments.
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner or FinOps Certified Professional certification.
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or Azure Administrator certification.
  • Google Cloud Digital Leader certification.

  • Timeline: Timelines vary by role, though Talent Acquisition works to move candidates through the process as efficiently as possible.
  • Interviews: Three interviews with Talent Acquisition, the line manager, and the hiring manager.
  • Format: Video interviews throughout, with an occasional in-person second-stage meeting if required.
  • Communication: Feedback and updates within two business days after each stage.
