Field Service Technician

Tiger Industrial Rentals is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our Blast Resistant Buildings (BRB) division. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, installation, maintenance, and servicing of blast resistant modular buildings at customer job sites and our yard — primarily within the oil & gas, petrochemical, and industrial sectors. This is a hands-on field & yard position requiring technical skill, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to work independently or as part of a crew.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, and plumbing within BRB units
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on rental fleet units
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and structural issues in the field
• Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, and delivery drivers during equipment placement
• Complete pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and post-rental teardown/inspection reports
• Follow all site-specific safety requirements (PPE, JSAs, permits, lockout/tagout, etc.)
• Communicate effectively with customers on-site regarding unit function and specifications
• Support emergency/after-hours service calls as needed
• Travel to customer job sites, which may include remote, offshore-adjacent, or industrial plant environments

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Basic proficiency with hand and power tools
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions, at heights, and in confined or industrial environments
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind)
• Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight and multi-day site assignments
• Familiarity with oil & gas or petrochemical site requirements (TWIC card, DISA, site-specific safety training)
