Privately held U.S. based company seek a Head of Supply Chain to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations across a multi-site manufacturing network. This role is responsible for strengthening supplier performance, improving cross-functional alignment, and driving measurable financial results through cost reduction, working capital optimization, and risk mitigation. Operating as both a strategic and tactical leader, this position ensures supply chain capabilities effectively support production continuity, product quality, and long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead sourcing, procurement, materials planning, supplier management, and inventory strategy across U.S. and Mexico operations.
Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with operational priorities and EBITDA improvement goals.
Serve as a hands-on leader in managing key supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and critical issue resolution.
Drive strategic sourcing initiatives to reduce total landed cost while improving supplier reliability and quality.
Partner with engineering and operations to identify value engineering and cost optimization opportunities.
Establish supplier segmentation frameworks based on risk, performance, and business impact.
Mitigate supply chain risk through dual sourcing strategies, contingency planning, and supplier development.
Improve supplier delivery, quality, and responsiveness through performance management and accountability.
Design and implement inventory strategies that balance service levels, operational continuity, and working capital efficiency.
Strengthen SIOP processes by improving alignment across demand planning, production, and supply capabilities.
Develop and maintain KPI dashboards tracking supplier performance, inventory health, cost savings, and forecast accuracy.
Lead, coach, and develop a distributed team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
Support global sourcing strategies, including risk mitigation related to international suppliers and supply chain disruptions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
8+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience in manufacturing or complex operational environments.
Experience supporting multi-site operations, including international facilities.
Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier development, inventory management, and materials planning.
Proven track record of delivering cost reduction, EBITDA improvement, and working capital gains.
Experience managing domestic and global supplier networks.
Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to connect operational decisions to business outcomes.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and data-driven supply chain environments.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in vertically integrated or highly complex operational environments.
Familiarity with a range of manufacturing processes and production models.
APICS, CPIM, or CSCP certification.
Bilingual English/Spanish capabilities.
Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
High ownership mindset with a bias for action and sense of urgency.
Excellent organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
